A riding team from Italy is coming to Pine Hollow, and Stevie volunteers to entertain them during their visit. It's a job that stuck-up Veronica diAngelo wanted for herself, and now Veronica is determined that Stevie will pay!

Suddenly, with the big weekend approaching, Stevie finds out someone has "volunteered" her to organize the annual school fair, to run the Children's Hospital Festival, and to debate for election as class president. They all take place on the same day--just when her Bar-None Ranch friends Kate and Christine and the Italian riding team are due to visit! Can one person do four things at once? With the help of her Saddle Club friends and a lot of imagination, Stevie's determined to try. The result will be the greatest event ever . . . or the biggest disaster of all time!

American author of children's books. She is best known for creating the intermediate horse book series The Saddle Club, which was published from October 1988 until April 2001. The Saddle Club chronicled the adventures of thirteen-year-old Lisa Atwood and twelve-year-olds Stephanie "Stevie" Lake and Carole Hanson. The series was static in time; the girls never aged in 101 books, 7 special editions, and 3 Inside Stories.

Bonnie Bryant also wrote two spin-off series: Pony Tails, aimed at beginning readers, and Pine Hollow, aimed at teenage readers. The 16 Pony Tails books followed the lives of eight-year-olds May Grover, Corey Takamura, and Jasmine James. Pine Hollow featured Carole, Lisa, Stevie, and their new friends in a series set four years after The Saddle Club. Unlike The Saddle Club, Pine Hollow conformed to a realistic timeline. The 17 books took place over the span of less than a year. Later a television show called The Saddle Club, based on the books, was filmed in Australia.

Bonnie Bryant wrote at least 38 The Saddle Club books and 2 Pine Hollow books herself; after that they were taken over by a team of ghostwriters, a common practice in long-running children's book series. Ghostwriters for the Saddle Club and Pine Hollow books included Caitlin Macy (sometimes credited as Caitlin C. Macy), Catherine Hapka, Sallie Bissell, Kimberly Brubaker Bradley, Helen Geraghty, Tina deVaron, Cat Johnston, Minna Jung, and Sheila Prescott-Vessey.

Bonnie Bryant is also the author of many novelizations of movies, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Karate Kid, and Honey, I Blew Up the Kid, written under her married name, B.B. Hiller. She also collaborated in the ghostwriting of The Baby-sitters Club Super Special #14: BSC in the USA, published under the name of its creator, Ann M. Martin.

Bonnie Bryant was born and raised in New York City. She met her husband, Neil W. Hiller, in college, where they both worked on the campus newspaper. They had two sons, Emmons Hiller and Andrew Hiller. Neil Hiller died in 1989. Many of Bonnie's books are dedicated to him.

The One Where Stevie Juggles 6 Out-of-town Visitors, 2 Fairs, and 1 School Election - on the Same Day
... The One with the Italian Boys
... The One where Veronica gets pegged with Soggy Nerf Balls, in the name of Charity

One of the most enjoyable books so far in the series because it's focus is on Stevie pulling off what should be an impossible feat - juggling all of the above - and doing it in her trademark, confident, gung-ho, "Stevie" approach to life.

This one was just a lot of fun throughout. It features Kate Devine and Christine Lonetree, 4 very handsome champion riders from Italy, Max and a story from Mrs. Reg, Colonel Hansen, Veronica, Phil Marston, and even Stevie's brothers. And, of course, with the power of friendship and horses, the Saddle Club pulls it all off.

This is one of the worst Saddle Club books so far, since it concentrates on people and has nearly nothing to do with horses. It was if Bryant couldn't be bothered about the horses. For example, a "riding team" (fuck does that mean?) from Italy rides four of the Pine Hollow horses for their demonstrations. Which four horses are never mentioned.

Four names. Four more words. And Bryant couldn't be bothered.

There also isn't anything about their riding lessons. Just a brief mention of Starlight getting lounged.

I want to know about the horses, riding or health-wise or whatever. Fuck these rich bitches.

Sweet book where the girls work together when Stevie gets in over her head. It was super satisfying and I forgot how fun the Italian boys were AND that Christine and Kate made it out. Fun story, as always. Barely even about horses, this one.

Some out of town visitors are coming to the stable. Stevie takes it upon herself to entertain them, which, looking back now, seems very far fetched. At any rate, she sets out to entertain these visitors while having major conflict with her arch enemy at the stable, Veronica. Not my favorite, but not a bad book.

My favorite part is when Stevie got everything under control. The worst part was when Veronica got Stevie to try and do all of the things that were all at the same time of the month. The best character is Stevie. The bad character is Veronica.I like the characters because they all like horses or others.the reason I like this book is because I like to read about horses.Auryn 9yo
