I remember reading this book as a child. The author, still a child himself, came and gave a talk at my elementary school. It's not exactly a wonderful book for obvious reasons but its enjoyable and has a nice message for younger children.

This book is surprisingly good. The writing is sub-par, but you have to remember that this was an autobiographical account written by a young boy not too long after a terrible brain injury. I believe he was either 9 or 10 at the time of the writing. If you are looking for an incredible piece of literary non-fiction, don't look here. However, this is an amazing story of survival and perseverance and is worth a second look.

As it was written by a child for children, it is a very quick read. Please give it a try and it will inspire you.

This book is a tradition in our family.

While out scouting, young Adam Moore trips and lodges an arrow in his head. Through miracles of modern science, the love of his family, and even some visits from celebrities--including Bill Murray, Adam returns to a rich and full life.

This autobiography is disturbing at times, but wonderful.
