I received an ARC of this book. Nikki Wilton is a new-to-me author, so I'm not familiar with her writing style yet.

Pistachios and Double Choc Trouble is about Tammy, a Darling Point native that owns a bakery with her best friend, Ava. Tammy meets a cute guy, Caleb, and they appear to hit it off right away. Unfortunately, Caleb is unexpectedly called back home for a family business emergency and while he's gone, communication with Tammy stops. Things get interesting when Tammy feels something is "off" with Caleb once he finally returns.

i believe in ava and tammy supremacy!!
listen listen listen i know this book is about tammy and caleb but i can’t help but be obsessed with their friendship🥹
i really loved tammy’s character from the prequel: Half Baked Love and the first book: The Baker And The Beast it made me fall in love with tammy’s character so i was so excited to read her love story because she deserves the whole world fr!! i really liked caleb because i’m a sucker for a guy who says cheesy pickup lines i eat that shit up all the time idc if it’s kinda “cringy” it’s like a cute cringe imo😅 i think we can all relate to tammy when she was ghosted and had a feeling something was off (being in lots of bad relationships kinda makes you assume the worst when something like that happens or at least for me) definitely didn’t see that twist coming tbh but my mind automatically went to is this gonna turn into a why chose romance?!?! (glad it didn’t but could you imagine? lowkey gave Ouran Highschool Host Club vibes which one is Hikaru game 😭😭😭 Hikaru is the better twin obviously but i’m a kyoya girlie🫡 oof sorry going off topic it’s like 3am while writing this lololol)i really loved the introduction of detective vega she’s a girl boss for helping out tammy and her comments about shooting caleb lololol also how she just rejected the drink some dude bought for her love her<3 kinda sad sam wasn’t in it as much but it’s understandable since it not his story i just love him he’s my favorite <3<3<3 (at least we got lots of ava tho)ava my beloved<3<3<3
can’t wait to continue reading the overall vibes of the series so far is mwahhhh😽 🤌 but i’m probably being biased since i live on island lololol
Edit: i almost forgot to mention i received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review all these thoughts are my own💋(man i wish they had different color lipstick emojis like could you imagine if it had black i would make that my signature emoji apple pls i am begging)

3.5 out of 5

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. It is book 2 in the Darling Point Series but is a standalone. However, Tammy does appear in Half-baked Love: Darling Point Prequel & in The Baker And The Beast so I would strongly recommend those two if you want to read more about what a good friend she is to Ava. The synopsis is straightforward. It's a good & short story about trusting your instincts when it comes to love told through Tammy's pov.

Tammy hasn't always dated the best men but it's also been quite easy for her to get over them. When she meets Caleb, she has a feeling he's different. Things are easy & sweet between them until he leaves home for a work emergency & returns a few days later. Tammy doesn't know exactly what is different but she knows there is something. Caleb's unusual actions will also have readers guessing what is he hiding.

The reason for Caleb's behavior definitely had me surprised as I was expecting something completely different. The reason alone is enough to make me want to round up the rating to 4. It definitely made the story interesting. I personally would've liked to see more of Tammy & Caleb as a couple to feel more invested in them & have a stronger ending. That's why my rating is a 3.5 because I can't rate it as high as I did other books in the series that I liked more. However, readers - especially fans of the series - will enjoy this novella.

This is book two of this series, told in Tammy’s POV, leaves you with a HEA and wanting more. This is a short read full of a new romance, mystery and learning to follow your gut instinct.

I have been so excited to read Tammy’s story. I first met her in the prequel “Half-Baked Love” where she showed just how supportive of a friend to Ava she was. I then got to see her in “The Beast and The Baker” where she was working and living with her best friend, Ava, and helping her with the bakery and further supporting Ava with her budding relationship. It was high time that Tammy got to find someone to settle down with.

I loved that Tammy was able to find happiness with Caleb. I really liked Caleb from the first page, until he ghosted her and then showed up again acting nothing like the Caleb we were introduced to in the beginning. I kinda had a feeling about the reason he was acting different, but was excited to see how the story unfolded.

I was not disappointed. I’m also excited that we got introduced to a new lady who seems she has an interesting story to tell.

I received an advanced reader’s copy via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving this review. These thoughts and opinions are my own.

I’ve been waiting for Tammy and her story and it was great. I loved that we got to see Ava and Sam and that they were such a huge part of this book. I was so happy for Tammy when she found Caleb but then when it looked like he ghosted her but then he shows back up. When he showed up and he seemed different, I kind of wondered then what was going on but I wouldn’t have figured out what ultimately happened. I enjoyed meeting a new character Detective Irene Vega, only in a small town could you just walk into the police station and make a request and they ultimately helped Tammy sort of find out what happened, and the confrontation solved the rest. While I wasn’t a fan of what happened and was definitely glad when things were talked out between Tammy and Caleb, I’m hoping that situation doesn’t happen again. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next between these two and it looks like Rina’s book is next. I’m definitely excited to see what her past is all about.

Tammy, Ava’s bakery business partner, has finally met a man she envisions as a long-term relationship partner. However, when Caleb returns to Darling Point after an unexplained absence, Tammy starts wondering whether he really is the man she thought she wanted…
Although short, Ms Wilton has managed to include enough uncertainty in this book to keep her readers speculating as to the possible outcome.
I received a free ARC and this is my honest opinion.

This book was so great to read. It was a romance story between a person she used to be love with along time ago. She could not believe she saw him again and rekindle their love for each other. It was steamy and hot romance for her again. It was a page turner and could night put it down. They had a special bond it was a twisted in the mix. They spend a lot of time together this characters was so special even realistic in a major way. The ending is going to shock you just like it did me.

This was a sweet small town HEA that is a stand alone in a series. Tammy works in a bakery with her best friend Ava. She had met Caleb and was interested in him when he was suddenly called back home for the family business. He didn’t answer his phone or respond to texts that Tammy sent. All of a sudden he appears back at the bakery but things feel different. You have to read this book to find out the twist to the story. Loved it!

This is a sweet romantic story with a twist. Tammy is dating Caleb but something seems off about him. She isn't sure she can trust him. She is determined to get to the bottom of it with the help of a detective. I highly recommend Nikki's books.
