Back to a road trip-style thriller with this new novel.
Amber, a young woman from Silver Bay, in Minnesota, now lives near Pacific Grove, in the south of San Francisco, where her modeling career is finally taking off. After a brief but difficult breakup, her friend Kate helps her get over it and Amber must return alone to her parents for one last Christmas in the family's large house on Lake Superior before it is sold so that they can enjoy a happy retirement in Florida. During this week, she will meet Caleb, the son of family friends, whom she knew as a child and has not seen in years. He will not leave her indifferent, although her recent affair with Jessy has made her quite suspicious. After these delicious moments in his company, she unfortunately has to go back to the West Coast for a casting and decides to return with her grandfather's car that she did not want to sell and that her parents cannot bring to Florida.
On the road, a nameless nightmare will pursue her.
Will she survive it? Will she get home safely?
This novel contains some vulgar dialogue and violent scenes that may offend the sensibilities of young people.
