It’s the oldest trick in the a random guy in the mall offers a naive eighteen-year-old girl a job as a model. I should have known better, but I fell for it, and now my life is one of captivity. I’m a slave to my master’s every whim. I hate him for the way he possesses me—especially when he’s determined to make me like it. He might own my body, but he’ll never have my heart. I have to escape him, but when he threatens the only thing I’ve ever cared about, how can I?
This is a dark romance. The H is an antihero at best. If possessive, over-the-top villains who will do anything for the women they want are your jam, then you'll love this age-gap billionaire captive romance!
I'm a longtime Emma Bray reader and knew this book would not disappoint so I have to say for a short read this is extremely well written and delved into both characters while being told from one point of view. I would have enjoyed this being a longer book. I didn't want it to end.
I loved the book however I do feel like it is missing aspects. It is told in the heroine’s point of view but you never learn more about the hero. I still don’t know what he does or what made him pick the heroine. At the end I do feel like it was a little rushed. Still a good story and I would read it again
This book grabs you from the beginning and you really can't put it down. I really wished that it could have ended differently by letting Gabriel ease his obsession and wanting to have a child, but I guess it wouldn't have been as dark if he changed.
I really hate to leave bad reviews but this book was really bad. I couldn't even finish it I skimmed through as much as I could. He kidnaps rapes her and then cuts his hand and says Blood for Blood and she says that's sweet seriously. It makes no sense. Save your money.
Something that should have taken me a few hours, took me 2 days to read…. And it’s not that it’s bad I just thought there could have been more in the plot line.
