Only You

Rate this book

David has been thinking about Gillian ever since they broke up, ever since they both graduated from college and moved to opposite sides of the country three years earlier, so when she shows up out of the blue he's more than a little thrown. This is no sentimental reunion, Gillian's younger brother, Danny, is missing, and Gillian needs David's help to find him. The journey they take—to a small town upstate, a small town reputed to have miraculous healing properties—seems to David like the perfect opportunity to redress past mistakes and get things back on track—to get back to the life he should be living and should have been living all along. But what is Gillian really after? And isn't everything in the town just a bit too perfect, everyone in the town just a bit too nice? David can't put his finger on it, but something is definitely off about this whole situation, and no one seems willing to give him a straight answer—least of all Gillian. With the town's annual harvest festival in full swing and its fiery climax looming, David must uncover the truth before it's too late. Only You is a novel about memory and regret, piety and addiction, selfishness and sacrifice, and about what it means to love someone at any cost.
