Each portrait is its own self-contained world, full of the mythology, symbols and methodology that inform, and ultimately become, the subject's art.

Sequence of Events The sequence of events in the book follows a traditional chronological order. This linearity makes it easy to track the progress of the narrative and the changes that occur.
