The Romanian Gloata, The Bratu, have been causing trouble for the other gang families in New York. Connor O'Malley, head of the Irish family, has been hit the worst in this battle for power. So when Elliot Monaghan, head of the English family, comes to him with a possible solution to both of their problem's he can't turn him away, but as always, all business must be on his terms. To keep the alliance between the Irish and English families, Elliot must marry off his daughter to Connor. Wow. I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do, mainly due to Connor's character in the beginning bits. 😂

I really adored Erin's character. She's that badass take no shit kind of woman we love to see. I really enjoyed her POV.

The character building was a little confusing at first but then it grew really nicely. Getting to learn more about each side character really helped distinguish who each name was & made me more emotionally invested in their characters.

The ending 🥹 No spoilers but it was sweet.

I hate Connor's mom. 😂 Screw her.

Overall a really great book! 💜📚

Twists and turns

This book had more twists and turns in the plot than any other. I enjoyed every one. Erin and Conner fight and make up, and scheme and come together, and find out though it all... they are meant to be.
