When Jonathan and Lauren met at University, it should have been the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Sadly, it wasn’t to be, and Jonathan became ‘the one that got away.’ Years later, at a University reunion, Jonathan shows up unexpectedly throwing Lauren into turmoil. The pair start talking, and soon all the old feelings come back. But will this time be different, or will their mutual affection continue to be unrequited?

***

The Plot here is a delightful exploration of those many paths we do or don’t take and I enjoyed the intrespective naval gazing among other juicy tidbits but what really makes this story stand out is the red hot sizzling sex with eight years of pent up passion released in exquisite style this is one that really does bring the heat.

Wonderfully written this is an Erotic Tardis taking you back to memories of what might have been, definitely one for those long dark teatimes of the soul when you crave some real lusty passion to escape with.

Wow, what a ride! Almost literally! I have to applaud Lucy on her descriptions. I'm not sure how many authors can sink you into the story
and know exactly how the characters are feeling at that moment. There obviously wasn't a lot of talking going on here. The whole book was
about descriptions.
This was written in the first person. I had no idea what the name of that first person was until almost halfway into the book. But that
didn't matter. What would you do if you suddenly came face to face with "the one that got away"? I would probably do exactly what happened
in this book. Hey, you only live once, right? The ending was too short for me though. Unless, there is a sequel in the works? I really enjoyed
these characters and would love to see where it goes with them.

Great little romp about two people who finally get their chance to be together. It's only after their sexy meeting they realize this doesn't tie things up, but instead opens them up to more.

The author does a great job expressing the feelings and describing the "moment," and I think this could be the start of a longer story the two main characters...

Who doesn't have someone from their past who they view as the woulda-coulda-shoulda guy? Fun, sexy short read about a lucky woman who unexpectedly gets her chance with "the one that got away". Perfect afternoon pick-me-up!

I really enjoy Lucy Felthouse’s writing style – crisp and clean, with a sparkling pace and snappy dialogue, while description remains vibrant without overburdening the eye.
This contemporary story of unrequited love given a second chance offers a suitable glimpse into the backstory of the couple involved, while keeping the story going nicely towards the focus encounter.
It’s not a story to shock or surprise, but provides likable characters whose inevitable rekindling of past unfulfilled desires is sexy and sweet, though perhaps a touch fleeting.
Given the hints into the particular fantasies the narrator has been having about her long-harbored love, the piece feels like a good first part of a longer work. But, a satisfying read nevertheless, and well worth the time to appreciate a quality writer.

Loose Ends by Lucy Felthouse
This was a short story about what would happen at a school reunion. Two people who always had the hots for each other but they were never free but still continued to be good friends. They had finally lost contact and but it was a fantastic reunion to say the least.
This was a good quick read by Lucy. I would have loved it to see what would have happened between the two after the reunion though.
The only reason I gave it a 3 out of five was because it was so short.
I really did enjoy the book! I received this book as a gift from the author.

Close but no cigar, that's the story of Lauren and Jonathan. Following the initial meeting at university, the chemistry had been instant but boyfriends, girlfriends and life in general had always seemed to scupper them from taking things further. Now, a school reunion has thrown the almost lovers back together again. Will it be a case of hundredth time lucky? I loved this fun, sexy short story and would like to see it expanded on.

Ah, the one that never was.... Lauren fell in love with Jonathan the moment she set eyes on him at the start of Uni, but they were never to be. Years apart and loosing contact have not lessened Lauren's feelings.

Five years after leaving Uni Lauren is dragged to a reunion and Jonathan is there. She plucks up the courage to speak to him and ... I wont tell you the rest, you'll have to read it yourself.

If there is ever a story that needs more it is this one!

This is a fabulous quick read from a talented author. Surrounding that whole fantasy of "the one that got away", it is a short story that 99% of the female population will be able to identify with.

Great for on the beach, plane, or in the bath. Would definitely recommend!
