जीवन के कुछ घाव इतने गहरे और बोझिल होते हैं कि उनको भरने में कई दफ़ा, पूरी उम्र तक लग जाती हैं। जिंदगी अच्छी है या बुरी इस बात से ज़रा भी फर्क नहीं पड़ता है, जो चीज़ जरूरी है वह है 'खुश रहना'। वैसे तो खुशी की कोई समय रेखा नहीं होती हैं और न ही ये किसी खास चीज से प्राप्त होती है, यह तो एक अहसास है जो कभी भी किसी भी वस्तु, व्यक्ति विशेष से मिल सकती हैं। कभी- कभी उस खुशी का अहसास करने में इंसान को पूरी उम्र लग जाती हैं।

There are some novels which take you to the times when satisfaction used to be defined on the basis of one's good deeds. 'Kaccha chittha' is one of such beautiful novels. It's a book packed with amazing timelines, complex emotions and a beautifully interwined plot.

The plot revolves around many characters which are pretty much unique in themselves. A murder is announced in an old post office situated in a village which is related to all the characters, by one way or another.

Karan Singh, an honest police inspector who has faced a heartbreak in his past tries his best to solve the case because he finds a connection to the past. Will he be able to investigate the case successfully?

Mahaveer, cursed with a dark past, lost in his own poems and stories. Will he able to live a normal life after massive setbacks in life? Will he be able to move on after a heart wrenching departure of his wife and daughter? Will his poems guide him to the light?

Amol, a bright army officer, takes a stand against the whole society by refusing to take dowry. Will he be able to find a loyal companion in life?

You have to read this beautiful piece of fiction in order to find the answers to these questions. The book is indeed a page-turner. The language used by the author is pretty straight-forward; so it won't be any problem for casual hindi readers. If you're willing to have a ride to the olden times, old post offices, village life; you've to grab this book.

Hindi Novels have enjoyed a fresh readership, since a few years now... and the New Hindi Novels written beautifully by Amazing Writers are drawing the attention of Readers towards them....

This was another lovely read for me... "Kaccha Chittha" a novel by Gulshan Kumar has a plot that basically revolves around letters, life and love...

There are a bunch of different characters whose story the reader follows sepearately and yet the end ultimately ties them together....

This novel can not be Just kept in one genre because there are a lot of themes... so for the ease factor, we will call it simply Fiction...

Another aspect of the novel is, it is neither entirely based in present, nor in past the story keeps going back and coming to present... this could have been tricky but has been executed really well...

The language used is pretty simple and can be understood easily by anyone having basic knowledge of Hindi...

There is nostalgia, Radio, Kishore Kumar songs, Village life, Romance... and Letters.... an important part...

Personally, i loved reading the novel and my time was spent really well reading this... so i appreciate the author for his work...

Just One point that i will like to underline here will be maybe the Character and Story of Amol was not that important for the story...

Other then that... I enjoyed Reading the story...
And I recommend this to all those people who are looking to start reading novels and love reading Hindi...

क्या आप ख़त लिखते हैं? अगर नहीं, तो आपको लिखने चाहिए। किसी को भेजने के लिए या फिर अपने दराज़ में रखने के लिए। पुराने समय में यही एक मात्र ज़रिया होता था अपने से दूर लोगों तक अपनी बात पहुँचाने का। चाहे फिर वो एक प्रेमी का अपनी प्रेमिका को लिखा पैग़ाम हो या घर से दूर रह रहे युवाओं का अपने घरवालों को चिट्ठी लिखना, इसे पढ़कर लोगों को तसल्ली होती थी।

आपको इस किताब 'कच्चा चिट्ठा" में ख़त और उससे जुड़ी तीन कहानियाँ पढ़ने को मिलेंगी। तीनों कहानियाँ एक दूसरे से अलग होते हुए भी जुड़ी हुई हैं। हर कहानी में एक प्रश्न है, जिसका उत्तर कहानी के अंत में है।

समाज में जो बुराइयां हैं, उसका भी ज़िक्र इस किताब में बखूबी किया गया है। खुशियाँ छोटी-छोटी चीजों में मिलती हैं और इस बात को शायद हम भूलते जा रहे हैं। ये किताब इसी के बारे में आपको याद दिलाएगी। कैसे हम सब कही न कही एक दूसरे से जुड़े हैं, इस बात का अंदाजा लगाना किसी के बस की बात नहीं है।

कहानी के पात्र की बात करें तो करन सिंह, महावीर और अमोल, ये तीन मुख्य नाम हैं। कहानी की शुरुआत होती है डाकघर में हुई एक मौत से, बस फिर धीरे-धीरे मर्डर मिस्ट्री आपकी नजरों के सामने खुलती जाएगी। इसे पढ़ने में एक सस्पेंस आखिर तक बना रहेगा। कैसे एक बूढ़े व्यक्ति की मौत हुई? कहाँ से आते थे बेनाम ख़त और कौन उन्हें लिखता था?

लेखक ने काफी सरल भाषा का प्रयोग किया है तो पढ़ने में दिक्कत नहीं आएगी। गांव और वहां के रहन-सहन से रूबरू होने के लिए आपको ये किताब जरूर पढ़नी चाहिए।

प्रतपगढ़ की पृष्ठभूमि में लिखी ये कहानी उन कहानियों में से है जो पढ़ने वाले को नब्बे के दशक में ले जाती है, जब सबके हाथो में ना तो मोबाइल फ़ोन हुआ करते थे ना ही लोग खुद में व्यस्त रहते थे , खतों के इंतजार में लोग पोस्टमैन कि बाट ताका करते थे और एक खत उनके चेहरे पर जो खुशी लाता था वो हम आज वाट्सएप के ज़माने में भी नहीं समझ सकते।

उन्हीं दिनों में ले चलती है ये कहानी जिसके पात्र तो अलग अलग हैं पर अपनी भूमिका बखूबी निभाते हैं।

नब्बे के वक़्त की आम जिन्दगी , साथ ही नवीनीकरण की ओर बढ़ते हुए होते बदलाव , लोगो में लड़कियों की शिक्षा को लेकर सोच , दहेज प्रथा , साथ ही घूमती प्रेम कहानी।

इस कहानी का हर किरदार कुछ खास है , हर किस्सा कुछ ना कुछ समझा जाता है और साथ ही बरकरार रहती है वह आगे की कहानी जानने की प्रबल इच्छा ।

बहुत ही साधारण सी कहानी जो बहुत कुछ समझाती भी है और बस कभी कभी यूं ही भी अच्छी लगने लगती है , जैसे जैसे आप अंत तक पहुंचते हैं तब आपको पता लगता है कि सब किरदारों  होना क्यों जरूरी था ।
मुझे इसका कवर बहुत अच्छा लगा और साथ ही किताब का नाम भी जो बिल्कुल सटीक बैठता है ।

प्रतापगढ़ की पृष्टभूमि पर लिखी गई कच्चा चिट्ठा की कहानी कई किरदारों के इर्द गिर्द घूमती हैं। मगर कहानी का मुख्य पात्र है कर करन।
करन एक 20-22 साल का युवा पुलिस इंस्पेक्टर एक वृद्ध डाकिये गोपालनाथ की मृत्यु मे अत्यधिक दिलचस्पी लेता है जिसकी वजह से उसकी चौकी के दो हवलदारो को उस पर संदेह होने लगता हैं और वो दोनो भी अपनी छान बीन करने लगते है।
लेकिन अंत तक उन्हे करन के खिलाफ कुछ ठोस सबूत हासिल नही होते हैं।
उधर करन भी हर संभव कोशिश करता है गोपीनाथ के बारे मे जानकारी जुटाने मे।
करन जानना चाहता है की गोपीनाथ कौन है, वो प्रतापगढ़ मे कैसे आया और क्या कर रहा था और गोपीनाथ का करन के भूतकाल से क्या संबंध हैं।
गुलशन कुमार की कच्चा चिट्ठा आपको ले चलेगी 90 के दशक मे जहा आज के समय के ट्विटर- व्हाट्सअप नही थे बल्कि उस जमाने मे अपने दूर के रिश्तेदारों से बात करने का एकमात्र जरिया थे तो बस खत।
तो आप भी आईये और जानिए की आखिर कौन हैं ये गोपीनाथ।

कहानी को लेखक ने बहुत ही सरल शब्दो मे पिरोया हैं। लेखक ने अपनी कहानी मे जिंदगी के फलसफो को बहुत ही उम्दा तरीके से उकेरा हैं।
लेखक ने सभी किरदारों की रचना बखूबी की हैं किंतु कहानी मे कुछ ऐसे किरदार भी है जिन्हे लेखक ने जरूरत से ज्यादा महत्वता दी है जिसकी वजह से यह किताब वो असर करने मे विफल हो गई जो इसे करना चाहिए था।

अगर आप हिंदी भाषा मे लिखी हुई कोई सरल सी किताब पढ़ना चाहते हैं तो आप कच्चा चिट्ठा को एक मौका दे सकते हैं।
