I have never before read a guidebook that made me laugh. I knew most of the things about Seattle already, but there was a lot of good stuff about Portland. It's a short, pithy guide that everyone can use. I read it in an hour - and while maybe it wouldn't be the best for someone planning a long, fly-in trip to either city, it's great for anyone within driving distance.
