Mandy Harbin is a USA Today Best‐selling author who loves creating stories that explore the complexities of everyday relationships...with some kissing thrown in. She also writes young adult romance as M.W. Muse because teens like kissing, too.
This was a really cute, sexy story. As someone in IT myself, I thought the author did a pretty good job of getting the terminology right. There were a couple of times, I was like 'why?'. Example: She's analyzing code bases, writing test scripts and white papers, etc, but she needs the IT guy to set up the videoconference? But that was just a small, niggling thing.
Besides the technical stuff, it was an interesting premise. Ian and Cassie sort of do the same thing, but in different offices. Cassie's office created some software that they believe they can modify to make it more easily customized for other customers. Ian's boss has this idea that Cassie's office can be closed as a cost-saving measure. And Ian and Cassie sort of have a thing for each other, though they've never actually been in the room at the same time. So this is a fun opportunity for Ian and Cassie to work together and perhaps get to know each other better, though a wrench is thrown into it when Ian's boss directs Ian to pump Cassie for info so they know how to most efficiently close the office. Ian feels guilty, but stuck.
It doesn't help things at all when Ian and Cassie have their first Skype session, Cassie thinks she's closed the connection and masturbates to thoughts of Ian, but Ian's watching her the whole time, tending to his own fantasies. Hello, awkward mortification, when she discovers him still watching! But once they talk and they realize the attraction is mutual, all bets are off and they start this fun, virtual quasi-relationship. And then shit hits the fan and Cassie feels used. Thankfully Ian is a good groveler, though honestly he didn't need to do more than just show up in person, lol. It all worked out in the end. Cute, quick read.
I started this story some time ago and finished it today. What took so long? Well, I started it and quickly got frustrated by the work ethic. As a hard dedicated employee I find more and more a lack of dedication and strong ethical standards difficult. The whole office thing was just wrong. I didn't need to read a story that included some of the things that i currently have issues with. So I set it aside for awhile. I came back to it today and decided to skim until pretty much the end.
So, what this comes down to is the writing was good and characterization good but it was not for me. It might be for you, I cannot say but definitly not is you are under 18 or not mature enough to distinguish good work behaviors and harmful.
Wow this escalated fast! This is a very short novella where we go from zero to 100 pretty fast. Whilst the characters may have known each other for a few years , they have had minimal interactions and so their relationship moved forward pretty fast despite being coworkers. Ok, so I thought I’d be reading an office romance, this wasn’t exactly what we got as a reader. Basically we got internet sex of the non vanilla variety between coworkers.
I really liked Sasha as a character. She was a REALLY good friend to Cassie, but I can’t say that this was a comfortable or normal favour to ask of your non friends with benefits, especially since they all worked together, which even as the reader I felt uncomfortable for all involved. As to the couple themselves (Cassie and Ian), I was slightly ambivalent. I think it was because it was a novella and we didn’t have time to like them as a couple and also because Ian had a murky plot line going for most of the story. I thought I would be reading a rom com but this wasn’t exactly what this was. Final rating 2.5 stars as I was on the fence on this one.
The story escalated from 0 to 100 in a matter of a few paragraphs. I understand that being asked to do something for the supposed greater good of your boss does happen. That you should keep it a secret happens but to my mind it clouds Ian's motivation and ethics when he commences his cyber sex relationship with Cassie. They know of each other but haven’t had much interaction and certainly dont know one another very well when that happens. Being evasive in why he had a bad day results in Cassie roping in her best friend, Sasha, to aid her in setting up a scene to make him feel better. That in itself must have taken courage, then to carry out what Ian instructs, Sasha was beyond and above friendship. True to form the truth comes out and Cassie suddenly knows she aided Ian albeit unknowingly. Fortunately, he arrives on her doorstep to set matters straight and without too much ado all ends well. This book had its moments but I doubt I would be recommending it as a good read.
I read this in one day but it was not what I was expecting. It’s definitely a steamy first book in a series. Cassie immediately got called into a meeting about making some changes on a project with the west coast office. Ian is considered the west coast hottie and he has been wanting to work with Cassie for the last two years. He got the perfect opportunity but then his boss told him that he needed to get as much information as he could out of Cassie about her office because they wanted to close it. Things instantly got hot and heavy between Ian and Cassie one night. Then they started talking about their personal lives and realized they were both into BDSM. Like I said this book was not what I was expecting. This relationship is super steamy and they didn’t seem to be embarrassed about anything after that first time. I’m glad they figured things out towards the end and that Ian made a big gesture to fix things.
Can cybersex lead to love? Does it with Cassie and Ian, who work on a project together, her in the USA South and him in California? Or is it just a ploy by Ian?
The roadblocks seem impossible, but with literally a spank on the ass from Sasha, Cassie might get her man. The idea sounds kinky, but to Ian, it's a turn-on.
However, Cassie gets a slap "In the face,' from Ian, who is doing his dirty job. After both events, the novel's ending is surprising.
SUPER HOT is a quick, well-written read full of sex that could have filled the pages of PLAYBOY or PENTHOUSE magazine. If you like erotica, this is for you.
I did expect more anxiety and stress caused by the secrecy, especially since they weren't just colleagues but in an intimate relationship. It surprised me to get so many sex scenes and the book was short, it was read very quickly so it seemed like sex made up 75% of it. And it's not even in person which makes the heroine very creative. Sasha, the sidekick/sex-play-helper (it sounds dirtier than it is, really) is an interesting character that I'd like to read about and I'm curious how this feministic, independent woman bent on being with a man who isn't controlling will fit with Andrew, the full-on Dom.
I'm glad this book was free. I gave it a star, because Ms. Harbin is great at writing, but I couldn't make it past chapter four. The characters, Ian and Cassie, jump right into kinky sexual encounters without knowing much, if anything, about each other. I read contemporary romances a lot. I don't mind reading sex scenes. However, I draw the line at over the top vulgarity. I realize that others do like it, and I'm no hater, so this is my honest review. This was the first time I've read anything by this author.
The first book in the Tender Tarts series, and my first time reading this author. I got this as a freebie on Amazon, so thought I’d give it a shot.
I do like office romances, so that is what drew me into this book.
This one, sadly, was not for me. I just couldn’t buy into the jump into the sexual relationship, and then there was the cashing in on the “friend chip” which was just a hard no from me. Just no.
It wasn’t wholly terrible, but I couldn’t buy into it either, there were some leaps there that I just couldn’t make the jump on.
Super Hot Supervisor: A Steamy Workplace Romantic Comedy (Tender Tarts Book 1)
Cassie and Ian have a very unusual relationship. They have never met in person but when they have to work on a project for their company, their virtual interactions overwhelm them. They fall for each other just by working together and by Skype. Ian is being made to get information from Cassie about the running of her office because the Corporate Co is shutting it down.
This book has a lot of spice but very little meat and potatoes. For a story that should have been read in one sitting it dragged on for 3 nights, and each night I picked it up I couldn't remember what I'd read the night before. In hindsight, this could be a really hot romantic read, but for some reason, the characters never really sparkled for me.
This book was super cute, funny, steamy, and I got all the feels! So many times I laughed out loud. Cassie and Ian are perfect for each other in every way.
Sasha and Aaron’s story is next and I can’t wait.
I appreciate the way this book was written, very realistic with relatable scenarios.
This has a heavy theme of domination and submission. There's also a scene that comes very close to FFM. I ended up skimming the book and honestly, I preferred the bartender!
Loved this book! This was such a great romance. I read it in two days. I am getting ready to read the next book in the Tender Tarts series and I hope it is just as good!
This book was NOT what I thought it was going to be 😂. The plot was a romcom but the whole book was bdsm lol a long distance relationship. It was okay, it was mostly a spice book.
The book is a good romantic comedy read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story is an enjoyable funny, and steamy workplace romance read.

Can the hottest phone/internet sex of your life with the man of your dreams make up for his single heinous act of betrayal? Well, this IS romance, so apparently it can!
At 88 pages, Digital Possession is a good length for a short story. Ms. Harbin provides just enough background on both of the main characters to give the idea that they have known each other for a couple of years even though they live in different states and haven’t worked directly together. Circumstances put them together on a project but the chemistry they share keeps them working late into the night and beyond.
Ms. Harbin does a terrific job of building the long distance relationship and keeping it HOT! HOT! HOT! She utilizes several different forms of communication devices to keep the sexual tension simmering between Ian and Cassie including sexting, a Skype strip-tease and sizzling phone sex. This reader felt like a cyber-voyeur on more than one encounter but that type of incredibly descriptive writing is what keeps the story flowing. You can bet the distance has made these hearts grow fonder and the sheets will be smoking when they finally meet face to face.
As well as the story was written I did find one issue that tended to make me stumble on a few occasions. As I said the writer uses texting as well as IMing several times throughout the story. The problem is that there is no defining separation of text-talk and the rest of the story. I think this could have easily been cleared up by either having the texting/IMing put in bold or italicized type. Even extra line spacing with indentions could have set it apart. Thankfully, the instances of texting and IMing are spread out. The story moves at a nice pace so this wasn’t a deal breaker for me as a reader but more of a minor irritation.
The idea of a virtual relationship has never really appealed to me but I have to say the blurb and quick excerpt I read of Mandy Harbin’s novella had me intrigued. The dialogue was funny and the premise was unique enough to pique my interest. This was a quick, fun read that I hope Ms. Harbin revisits in the future. She mentions a brother to Ian who is deeper into the BDSM lifestyle. I wouldn’t mind reading his story while catching up with Ian and Cassie.
If you’re looking for a quick little sizzler, look no further than Digital Possession. They may live hundreds of miles apart but it won’t keep their hearts from growing close.
This novel is a quick, kinky read. If you like short steamy romances then you will love this one. The emotions are very hot and get to you. I also like d the friend Sasha's character. Ian had an aura that even without meeting Cassie , he still makes an impression. Long distance relationships are possible as per this story. Enjoy this read it is very good hot summer read.

This was a really good story about a couple getting together through where they work and seeing each other online. Cassie and Ian are thrown together to work on a project. They start talking via Skype and things really heat up between these two. This was a HOT story and some of the scenes were soo HOT! Cassie's friend, Sasha was funny and these two made me laugh.
This is my first time reading something by this author. What a cute and romantic story! This was an entertaining read. A fun and unique story and full of interesting moments, this book will pull you right in and keep you engaged all the way through. It's a quick and fun story that's quite steamy!

I received a copy of this book from voracious readers and I absolutely loved it. The chemistry between Cassie and Ian was undeniable and their compatibility was soo obvious without being to forced. The plot was incredibly interesting and was perfectly set out and executed. I would absolutely recommend this book to people who like steamy romances with a dominant male.
