Read these spine-chilling monster, horror and ghost stories,if you dare. Consider the facts and decide for yourself whether or not to believe them. But don't read this book after dark , or your dreams might turn into nightmares.
This was a great book as a kid, and a breezy read as an adult. Best left to children, who will get a wonderful tour of different monsters and mysteries, and will likely get the right level of spooked from this collection of stories.
This is truly a great book for children as it features a variety of exciting stories (based on true events) and illustrations that are sure to enthrall even the most stubborn of young readers. I really like the way it is meant to teach critical thinking as well. Books like these should be in all of the children's libraries.
An awesome book filled with chilling tales of murder, ghosts and terrifying monsters. A personal favourite story of mine was 'Lizzie Borden's Axe', a true story about a young girl who violently hacks her father and step-mother to death with an axe.
