This was a great book as a kid, and a breezy read as an adult. Best left to children, who will get a wonderful tour of different monsters and mysteries, and will likely get the right level of spooked from this collection of stories.

This is truly a great book for children as it features a variety of exciting stories (based on true events) and illustrations that are sure to enthrall even the most stubborn of young readers. I really like the way it is meant to teach critical thinking as well. Books like these should be in all of the children's libraries.

Love this book, it’s got so many stories to read, and facts on each story, I like to google some of the stories to find some more info on the person,

I like to read this book once very couple of years, from start to finish,

An awesome book filled with chilling tales of murder, ghosts and terrifying monsters. A personal favourite story of mine was 'Lizzie Borden's Axe', a true story about a young girl who violently hacks her father and step-mother to death with an axe.
