Bummer Summer

Rate this book
One of the few 80's teen romances told from a boy's point of view, Bummer Summer chronicles one summer in the life of Stuart Carpenter, a typical teen boy trying to get in to Mountain adventure training camp by performing silly stunts to annoy his parents. At the same time, he pines for pretty neighbor Veronica, his dream girl.

I picked up this book because of the very 80's cover. It was a really stupid book! Main character Stuart Carpenter VI is a very wealthy white boy who, gasp, can't read! Then later he finds out that both his older sister and wealthy dad can't either. Totally unbelievable and pointless.
