Elizabeth, the matriarch Savage, has had her share of hurt and betrayal, and as much as she wants her girls not to follow in her path, she knows she can't live their life for them…

Christina is Elizabeth 's eldest daughter and married to a man that gives her financial freedom but is lacking in the bedroom. She finds a boy toy and starts to realize she signed up for more than she can handle…

Drama and Diva are Christina's daughters. Together, they are young, wild, and free, but when Diva wants to leave the wild life behind, Drama doesn't want to let her go…

Chrisette is the middle Savage daughter, and and also the mother of Dymond. It's been the two of them forever and they are like best friends, but Chrisette finally thinks she wants to settle down and Dymond isn't so sure she can handle that...

Christy is the youngest of the Savage women, and all her life she's been trying to belong. She’s younger than her sisters and older than her nieces, and chooses to tell all her secrets to Dymond since she's the only one that listens to her. At the end of the day, she just wants someone to love her.

With a family full of women who have no loyalty, backstabbing, lies, and deceit is the norm for the Savage family, but how far is too far? The saying goes, 'Blood is thicker than water.' But, the question here is, What's thicker than blood?

There was a song out a few years back that warned women about messing with another woman's man. It also stated how the girlfriend would react if it occurred.

Let's just say that "Devious Savages" takes that song to its very core.

Elizabeth Savage is the matriarch of a family that is truly run by the women it contains. From her daughters Christina, Chrisette and Christy, down to her granddaughters Diva (Moriah), Drama (Monisha), and Dymond, they ALL have something going on.

Whether it's seducing their siblings man to have a taste of them or swaying a man's mind to prove a point, these females do it all.

Leila Jefferson did a fine job of displaying each character's level of ability, from Elizabeth, who could get nasty in a semi-polite way to Drama, who had no couth whatsoever. Several subplots unfolded as to why some of the characters were behaving the way they did and some were left for future answers, spurning a forthcoming novel.

There was excessive use of one word and even for its context, it could take away from the story, but not much. A couple misspelled words (but note: I received an advance copy, the errors should be corrected at this point and will not take away from the story.)

Expect more from the Savages, as there are unanswered questions that Jefferson's readers should be anxious to learn.

This was my first time reading Leila Jefferson's work and I enjoyed every second of it!! I loved this book the Savages were a crazy bunch of females the whole family! there was so much drama and family secrets going on from the very first page this book was amazing i could not put it down. Everyone in this book was doing something that effected someone else it was a lot going on! Drama and Diva lived up to every second of their names.
The way it ended I just know that there is going to be a part 2 and i cant wait for that!

" Devious Savages" by Leila Jefferson...talk about DRAMA to the umpf degree!!! Those Savage women were nothing but trifling! A story of cheating, lies, infidelity, uncovering family secrets... I just couldn't get enough! With a family like this one, who needs enemies?
Devious Savages was very well written. I loved how each character had their own little storyline. The story never slowed down. It was very fast paced and entertaining from page one! Read this in aboout a day and a half. Can't wait to read part 2! 5 stars!

This book is full of lies, secrets, and betrayals. While they all may be family, they surely don't act like it. Throughout the book I just wanted Christy to gain some common sense and I wanted Drama to finally get what was coming to her. I will be reading more from this author and want to know more about this family

Pure Drama Definitely a page turner, held my attention from start to finish. I would recommend this novel (e-book) to all my friends. However beware there is sexually/explicit language through out the book

I usually love the drama but the Savage women were just horrible to each other. The situation between Dymond and her mother was unbelievable. Somebody has to stop the cycle of destruction. I will read the next one just to see what happens and I hope some issues get resolved.
