If I could give this more stars, I would. I love history so this book interested me the first time I saw it. And it had to do with the America which should peak all of our interests. It's extremely disheartening to see what happened in the fall of great ancient civilizations is happening exactly to our nation. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. The author manages to simultaneously idolize his vision of America from days gone by while also criticizing every aspect of America at the time of his writing (which at this point was twenty years ago, so the book is pretty dated as well for something that's supposed to deal with current events). He's also got some interesting ideas of what's taking it too far- particularly, he's very hostile toward political correctness and "multiculturalism" (which he never defines more specifically, so it's anybody's guess what exactly he's railing against with that) beyond even the typical cautious attitude some might take. All in all I spent more time wanting to yell at the author than anything, and I can't see this being worth anyone's time.

A look at the historical patterns of the demise of nations and societies and how we see the same types of things happening today in western Europe and North America.

Frustrating at times to read with author not coming from a theonomic perspective.

Observations are common sense to the average discerner.

Not worth the read.
