Beautifully written book with quirky and loveable characters. A real pleasure to read.

Okay, I picked this book up from the library for 50cents ao I was not expecting much from this book. But it was amazing! This is one of the first magical- realism books I have read and I really loved it. I already loved fairytales and when there is an old-world vibe so this really was the book for me. I'm not so sure that the ending met my expectations, but the rest of the book stayed with me so much that it made up for it. If you are thinking of reading this because it's short and should be quick I have to tell you that this is really more of a slow burn and I really just wanted to be in the world without rushing through it.
