It's Little Bo's birthday soon, and when Roly Mo reads her a story all about growing up, she decides that she's a big mole now and wants to do the things grown-up moles do, such as reading the newspaper and dozing off whilst listening to the radio. But it doesn't take long for Little Bo to find out that perhaps growing up is not all it's cracked up to be. One of a pair of Roly Mo Show mini hardbacks, this book includes not only photographic images from the TV programme, but also an illustrated version of the story Roly Mo reads to Little Bo.
The RolyMo Show is part of the children’s TV series “The Fimbles” in the UK featuring cute multicoloured creatures. RolyMo is the eldest of these and is a story teller to the younger ones.
In this book children learn that Little Bo is growing up. RolyMo tells her a story about Josh who is also growing up. It comforts Little Mo and she then feels she would like to grow up.
I think children would really like this tale, especially if they are worried about getting older and things changing. The pictures would be most delightful to children who read this book.
I have a feeling this might be part of a series and if children enjoy this one then they would enjoy the rest of the series.
I would give The RolyMo Show: Growing Up a 5/5 for children
