Sometimes I go down a rabbit hole and I end up reading technical manuals. However, I never thought I would find myself reading a special forces technical manual. I was turned onto this book by a friend and I decided to read it as part of some research. There are a NUMBER of things that struck me about the book, but one that really stood out was the Skyhook. It is EXACTLY what they showed in the Dark Knight Rises. All in all, this book offers a lot of insight into how special forces, works and the general guidelines that they think under. Fascinating stuff, also kind of scary stuff, depending on how you look at it.
