Obviously I'm not a teenager. However, I like to read anything I can about the Goddess and deity mythology from around the world. Luckily for me, this was not my first book about such topics. If it had been, it might have skewed my perspective for future reading. I think this is what many readers would refer to as a "fluffy bunny" book. That is, the book oversimplifies Pagan concepts and misrepresents them for presumably young readers. I enjoyed the mythology aspects of the book, as well as the strategies for incorporating these goddesses into one's practice. But the author tended to talk down to her audience. She also offers ridiculous spells: one for getting boys to kiss you, one for increasing your beauty, and even one called "How to Make Problems Magically Disappear." Really? That's not what magick is! For young people who presumably have little grasp of magick, this isn't the kind of information they need at the surface level. There is some good advice in here for issues young girls deal with (self-esteem, body image, friendship). Why not just make a book about how to deal with these issues, rather than making the readers think they can magick away these issues instead of facing them?

This book truly has a magical flare that will make sure the self-confidence in yourself soars.

With techniques ranging from how to remember your life purpose, working with a myriad of Goddess helpers such as angels, fairies and other spiritual fare as well as working with goddesses from different cultural backgrounds such as Mary the Moon Goddess, Aphrodite the Beauty Goddess, Freya the Air Goddess and others complete with glamours for each one, prayers of invocation, their stories retold through their eyes complete with how to call on them for aid it is a book you will often refer to when life's challenges arise or when you want to change things around.

This book is one that is not only thoroughly researched but backed up with instances in which the author used these techniques and the results that came from doing just that.

With Goddess Workouts that assist you in honing gifts of intuition, reaching your guardian angel, finding your life's work and much more this is a book to truly relish in complete with how to use prayer, affirmations and other spiritual tools at your disposal.

A phenomenal read!

Hmm...well I will say that I have thumbed through this...and it looks as though that there may be some good info amidst all of what I consider to be crap...this is obviously not for the more serious teens who are looking for guidance regarding their spirituality...I can say that I will not be giving this one to my daughter, which is who I originally got it for...but when reading about one's spiritual journey, what make-up is being worn should not be an issue...granted, I think that books geared towards the younger generation should be a bit fun...I think that the focus should be less on what we look like and more about who we are.

Although this book hints at Wicca, it is really geared towards the lifting of young women's self-esteem. By describing various goddesses around the world, the young lady is taught to emulate that goddess and have a positive outlook on life. I really needed this book about 10 years before it was published!

This book took me awhile to read but there were many things I found encouraging, and help me realize it's ok to be myself, just be me, don't worry what other people say.
