Ancient Anger is about greed, lust, fear, murder and the possible end of the world. An end brought on by the blindness of mankind and the dark possibility of a power greater than us, other than God. Ancient Anger is about why we are afraid of the dark and intrigued by violence and hatred. By following the paths of a drug dealer, two driven anthropologists, and a 105-year-old Mayan priest hell-bent on destroying the modern world, Ancient Anger embarks on a journey from the mysteries of the ancient Mayans to the possible future of man. Behind the action, quietly pulling the strings, is Padre Mio. As ancient as his religion, he orders death while searching for the answer to mortality. Driven by rage and a need to fulfill a thousand-year-old prophesy, Mio's motivation is to insure mankind is imprisoned by the past before it can destroy its future.
It wasn't a good sign when I kept asking myself if I was really going to finish this one. I finished it. Wished I hadn't. The plot was worse than weak. I didn't give a rip about any of the characters. Nada.
