What an amazing story! Such a page turner. Jax is a musician trying to make a career in Seaside. He goes gigs at local places to get his voice out. Sloane is part of a record label. She sees how well Jax sings and wants to give him a chance at a career doing what he loves. Jax challenges Sloane every chance he gets. He also tries everything in his power to get her to conquer her fears. Sloane makes it her mission to get Jax’s voice out to the record label to show what talent he has. She even enters him in a contest. What will happen? Will Jax accept and make a go at being the best he can be? Will he win? Their chemistry is amazing. They definitely complete the other. Will this friendship maybe relationship continue in the end?

Another cute read by Amanda Shelley. Sloane and her sisters have been spending their summers in Seaside in the house they inherited from their grandmother. Sloane’s sister Lanie had found her fiancé Ryan the summer before in Seaside and it was fun to hear a little more about them in this book. Sloane was an intern for a record company and was out looking for local talent for their big upcoming Seaside music festival…that’s how she met Jax. Jax performed at a local restaurant as his first time ever playing in front of an audience. Sloan thought he had potential and that’s how Jax convinced her with the Ultimatum of both of them doing something their feared. Which then lead to both of them spending more and more time together. Jax was the sweetest at the end to make up for not communicating after the first night of the festival. I look forward to reading Raven’s story next summer.

The Summer Ultimatum by Amanda Shelley is the sweet story of Jax and Sloane. She is an intern for a record label,, in\ charge of coordinating regional talent. She is with a friend at a local club and sees Jax perform…she’s awestruck at his talent. He agrees to meet with her…but, not because he wants to be part of the label….

This was a sweet, romantic story that will melt your heart. Sloane is initially a little unlikeable, since she is a big tease. Jax is just a simple guy with a simple life and simple dreams. Nice, enjoyable read!

What a fun summer shorter story, loved it had all the feels. Sloane is a spunky talent scout and Jax came out of nowhere and completely took her by surprise. I loved watching their friendship develop and then evolve into something more. Love Sloane’s crazy sisters they are a riot. Sloane and Jax make such a cute couple. I love that they got their happily ever after.

I really enjoyed reading Sloane and Jax's story. It was a quick read but full of swoony moments. While developing a relationship,  they helped each other grow and conquer their fears. The ending made me tear up as Jax was so sweet! ❤️ I enjoyed the secondary characters and their effects on the story. Overall, the story was well written and I would recommend it.

Great summer romance

This was a very enjoyable summer romance of an organized young woman and young man not aware of his musical talents.
The story and characters are fun and keep you turning the pages from the beginning. Really enjoyed it.

This is a book in The Summers in Seaside series and it is Sloane and Jax’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Sloane had worked hard to get her internship at Smashing Waves Records Studio and she is hoping to get a permanent job at the end of it and when she hears Jax play and sing she is definitely sure that he will be perfect to take part in the music festival this summer so now she just had to convince him to take part. Jax loves music and had only been playing for a couple of years but he was not comfortable with crowds and only did the gig because of a challenge from his dad and when Sloane asked him to do more gigs because he had so much talent but Jax couldn’t see what others did and his next gig went so well and the crowd absolutely loved him and Sloane was determined to show him just how good he was. The more time that Sloane and Jax spend together the stronger there attraction and chemistry grows and they start to fall for each other but with everything that is on the line will they be able to make it work and get the happiness and future that they both deserve. I absolutely loved this book and read it in one sitting because the storyline pulled me in and kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next and what the outcome would be for them and it was so addictive that I couldn’t put it down. I definitely recommend you read this book and you will not be disappointed.

I think I say this on all my reviews for the Summer in Seaside series, but I'll go on & say it again, I need to spend my summer in Seaside right now as the place has so much healing & love there, and in my life it's just hot as hell LOL! Our hero, Jax, is a musician trying to make a career in Seaside, so he plays quite a bit locally which is where our heroine, Sloane, discovers him. She's interning at a record label & is supposed to be looking out for local talent for the upcoming Seaside Festival, so the moment she hears him sing, she wants to include him. Their meeting led to all kinds of fun as he gives her an ultimatum which has them spending more time together, and they're actually perfect for each other but will they ever see it?! Amanda Shelley added another perfect addition to this series that I couldn't get enough of, and I cannot wait for next summer's book so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This story was so sweet and lovable. Sloane is a music business as a promoter to find new talent for the agency. When she discovers Jax playing one night she is memorized by his voice and his presence on the stage. She is bound and determined to get him to play the festival in town. Jax loves to play music and is just now feeling comfortable in front of people. He works hard and loves his family. When he meets Sloane the attraction is real and they have a chemistry that will have you swooning. I loved reading about how they both opened up to each other and talk about their dreams. I love that she tries to convince Jax that he is important and that he is an amazing person.

A cute addition to the series.

This was a cute romance read. Part of The Summers in Seaside series gives it readers a story filled with romance. Sloane worked hard to get where she is at her future dream career when she meets talented Jax. He is her way to get her job at Smashing Waves Record, she just needs to convince him to take a chance. As their relationship develops so does their hot romance but when insecurity come up will he give up on their HEA? One click to find out this romance story that did not disappoint.

I really wanted to like the story, it just wasn't my cup of tea. It would be a great read for those interested in the music industry (I really thought this would be something I was more interested in). This book is full of the small town, beach vibes that meet the music industry and following the same family of sisters.

Sweet Summer Romance

The Summer Ultimatum continues the Summers in the Seaside Series. We continue to follow the Lancaster sisters as they each find their perfect match. Sloane and Jax are adorable! Glad to see a continuation of Lanie and Ryan.

I loved this story!
I love reading and music, and having the story in the music world helped me mentally be in both worlds. The only thing better would be a bonus playlist we can go to and listen to with the songs Jax sings in the book!
