Karen enters his life. In Peru, he meets a 1000 year old priest, Sapa Inca, and survives a hazardous return journey, before setting out on a mission to Mars. On his return, he joins forces with Targ 5, a 95% human security guard from Lunar, in a desperate attempt to thwart an attempt on the President's life by Zabal Khan.
