A sobering and yet ultimately optimistic analysis of the issues facing Canada in the age of neoliberalism and corporate rule. Finn describes the threats to our environment, health care, schools and other public institutions, and how corporations have taken over the direction of our nation.
Accessible and enjoyable, with many historical anecdotes from the author's youth and earlier career in Newfoundland. The articles are now over 10-15 years old but have lost none of their relevance or poignancy - goes to show that many of the issues of corporate rule, attacks on labour and globalization/imperialism we suffered during the Bush era (and Martin era in Canada) persist today.
