Okay, so reading a book about ethics and standards sounds technical and boring to most. But for those working in service type jobs (physicians, nurses, teachers, and yes even social workers) there are periodic publications that define the responsibilities and perimeters of practice. In this updated text, Reamer provides a multitude of ethical considerations. For me, I struggle with complex issues when the hierarchy’s seem vague. I find this book comforting in the protection the standards create and guide my work I hope to live up to them better each day.
