This book is pretty cool. It uses almost entirely German, yet can be read right from the beginning by a non-German speaker. As one who is learning German, I learned a lot from this book, even though it took me a long time to get through.

One word of warning: A number of the words are archaic. Besides that, I enjoyed this.

This is an interesting book because it tries to teach the reader about the German language using minimal amount of English. It should have been a mandatory reading for all German learners except that it is ancient considering that it was written before the first world war. The stories, events, some vocabulary and many more in this book are outdated. Otherwise, it is an interesting concept in teaching a language.
