11 books111 followersMy name is Mark Smith. I am a writer and practitioner of Primal Witchcraft. Throughout my entire life I have been a dedicated student of the Goddess of Witchcraft, Hecate. Primal Craft is the foundation through which I am able to assist others who wish to walk the path of the Dark Queen.
Since childhood I have heard Her call. Though I was at that time unaware of Her true identity, my connection to the Witchflame Goddess goes as far back as I can remember. There were others who came with Hecate during these infant years, but they remained in the background at that time. It is with the Queen of Hell that I have always had the strongest link. This was the beginning of my re-awakening; in this incarnation at least.
As I grew and my horizons expanded, so too did my practice of the Ancient Craft. There were obviously times when my focus would shift, as required, to various aspects of mundane life; such is the necessary balance of the incarnate form.
After thirteen years in the military and several years in a certain private enterprise sector, to which I was drawn by the money on offer, I became wholly dissatisfied with my life and moved to Southern Spain. Here I found that the climate and pace of life agreed not only with my physical being but also the intense spiritual practices so regularly brought forth through my contact with the Dark Goddess. It was at this point that I was ready to give myself over fully to my greatest passion, and what I know to be my true calling, in the Ancient Craft of the Wise. In love, honour and total commitment everyday of my life is now dedicated to the pursuit of spiritual ascendance and the acquisition of the deeper hidden gnosis which lies, waiting to be discovered, along the Dark Path of Hecate.
I do not claim any ancient lineage through my ancestors, nor do I claim heritage through coven initiation. The consumate journey upon this path is taken at the level of the soul, far beyond the ego and politics of human minds. It is for this reason that direct contact with the spirits and Gods of the Ancient Arte, both Empyrean and Infernal, is essential for those who wish to truly advance upon the path of the Dark Queen.

This book was just as awesome as the Queen of Hell; but, the author takes you even deeper into the initiatory journey. I love Mark Alan Smiths books because he speaks on the most advanced occult topics that you won't see anywhere else in print; but, at the same time is extremely easy and enjoyable to read. In this book he takes you past the end of the Tree of Life and goes straight out into the void. He talks about the nature of the void and alternate Tree of Life's for the other alternate universes. This is some straight Top Secret wikileaks level occultism that can be purchased by anyone. Because all of his works are limited prints, they shoot up in price very quickly. I paid $700 for the deluxe edition of this book (my most expensive book to date), and I will tell you I am still satisfied with my purchase. (I am not rich by any means either, I just choose very carefully what I spend my hard earned money on. I don't waste my money on X-Box and cars. I invest it into occultism).

The second book in the trilogy started with Queen of Hell. The Red King deals with Lucifer as father of life and light and child of Hecate. This book picks up where Queen of Hell leaves off and teaches work with a number of spirits and gods while further developing the ability of the witch to channel and hold energy. The witch is going to feel the strain as they work and have more and more.power pushed through them.
New beings like the Demon Princes and the Lord of the Dark Star are introduced along with the Kings of Edom. Some rites were distinctly overwhelming and one actually managed to raise the temperature in the room several degrees and make me nauseous and give me dehydration. These tites are very real and do create lasting change within the soul. Some of them also created very physical effects in the room around me too
At the conclusion of the book, the witch is permanently linked to a star from which they can draw power from then on. Finishing this book took about a year and was definitely a great deal of work, but was worth every minute, even during the rougher rites. Highly recommended for those who have finished Queen of Hell.
