Sojourner Truth: Slave, Prophet, Legend

This is the definitive biography of Sojourner Truth, written with profound respect and appreciation, and without falling victim to legend and myth. The real person ranks higher in my hierarchy of heroes than the fictive one. Mabee has given us a first rate biography.
