A friendly and short introduction to the a-spectrum with good attention to both asexuality and aromanticism. As a guide, it's largely focused on definitions, and that makes sense, but at times, I wished for more nuance or acknowledgement of where some terms and definitions are contested amongst community members. It's a bit overly definitive at times.

This wouldn't be the first text I'd hand someone curious about asexuality or aromanticism, but its a helpful mini-guide for anyone already familiar with the existence of these orientations and queer identities/orientations in general who'd like some refreshers or clarifications (and charmingly illustrated charts).

This book was a great accessible and understandable short book about the ace and aro spectrums. I liked how the author gave some good resources on the spectrums and also explained it in a way that made sense. This book would be great for schools and libraries and is a must-read for allies as well!

Brilliantly accessible and engaging! This is an excellent overview and introduction to ace spec and aro spec identities!  It perfectly combines so many helpful resources all in one place. I particularly loved the flow charts and tables that allow you to assess your own identity. It should be essential reading in every school. I really wish I had had this book when I was in my teens but, even as an aroace identifying adult, I learnt a lot reading this. So thankful that this exists!

A good starter for those new to the asexual and/or aromantic spectrums. Defines both terms, how they're different, some of the sub-labels within these umbrellas, and how they can pair together with each other and other identities for various romantic and sexual identities (such as being biromantic asexual).

First--I identify as ace. Second--I was really overwhelmed by this book. I have heard people mention some of the acespec categories before and didn't really understand. Well--ALL of the information is here. Like maybe more than I could wrap my head around. But it was interesting. If I was younger, or if I was working with LGBTQ+ kids, I'd probably find it very useful. In fact--I think I know who I can give it to!

Somehow I didn't realize this was a short little guide with cute illustrations, but I'm glad that it was! This was a fantastic short introduction to ace and aro identities with lots of fun little activities and graphics.

Amazing book but

This book is fantastic and cute but sadly hasn’t been formatted to kindle properly so the words run together. As soon as Amazon fixes this it will be perfect.
