Pooh and his Hundred Acre friends star in a tale that is robbed of any joy or entertainment due to a heavy-handed, didactic script that reads more like a series of public service announcements than a story.
And I'm supposed to believe that Tigger can count to twenty? No way!
(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list... )
This was a very good teaching storybook for children without 'being in their face' about teaching about wandering around alone in the woods. If you are going to take your children on a hike, on a camping trip, etc you should check this book out. Pooh and his friends learn the importance of staying with the rules like having a buddy at all times, Never hiding somewhere alone. Never going swimming alone. This was written very well.
