The Gossip Guru …hears wealthy newspaper tycoon Wallace Hamilton may finally be released from the hospital, after recurring visits following his bone-marrow transplant.
But the juiciest Hamilton news is that Jeremy—who is not Wallace's son—has been in contact with his family again… and he might rejoin Hamilton Media. A certain lovely single mom has been spotted doing holiday volunteer work with the former business tycoon. Perhaps the charms and strong spiritual life of Gabi Valencia helped create this Christmas homecoming for Jeremy.

This is a Clean Romance, and this is the 6st book in the Davis Landing series. I have not read the other books in this series. I found this romance cute at times, and there was some of Christmas in this book. I just found this book just ok, and it had me wanting more. The ending had some suspense.
I'm still debating with myself why reading the title I read the book. (I'm not a fan of Christmas and I was getting a head start as the season is soon upon us) There were times I thought I read this story before but I got over that and have finished. Little envious of fiction families in this book.
Gossip is swirling about the wealthy Hamilton family, with the juiciest about Jeremy, who is not Wallace's son. Jeremy left town, but now has returned and he might rejoin Hamilton Media. When Jeremy does a favor for his soon to be sister-in-law, by painting a room in the church he meets Gabi. This will be a life changing chance meeting. Gabi will help him get on with his life and as luck would have it, they will develop strong feelings for each other. Gabi will show him the way to happiness and create a wonderful Christmas homecoming for Jeremy.
I thought this was a good ending to the 'Davis Landing' series. We'd met Gabi in Tim and Dawn's story, and I really enjoyed her then. I loved seeing her shine as she tried to be a good friend to Jeremy. I actually liked Jeremy more than I thought I would. I admit to having been a wee bit frustrated with him earlier in the series when he took off to try and find his grandparents, but getting to 'hear' his side of the story put things in a bit more perspective than I thought. I liked that we saw his thought process about returning to fellowship not only with his father Wallace, but with God as well. The 'whodunnit' of the entire series had been definitely hinted at, if not overtly stated, but I found myself wanting to understand more of the WHY behind the blackmailing. Ahh well, not important enough to dock a star from the rating or anything. Though I did enjoy Gabi and Jeremy as a couple, the romance was WAAAAAY too fast for my liking. Enough with the insta-love! (lol) 3.5 stars
I really didn't like the whole thing with Justine. Why did they even bring that in if we're not going to find out if she really is the daughter of Wallace Hamilton. Also I really didn't like the reaction of Wallace Hamilton. He was ok not knowing if she was his daughter or not. I would think I would want to know. I would have put 5 stars if it wasn't for Justine.
thought this was going to be just another romance, but ...
it pretty much is, but ...
she had enough mystery in it, that i now want to find the other books in the series. especially since i didn't know it was part of a series, nevertheless the last book in it, til i received the book!
