For those using this for scholarly research, I'll include a listing of the main sections, in case it helps you decide if this book is needed in your research. I had a terrible time trying to find an online table of contents to help me.
Sections include: The Desert Novels The Mountain Novels The Historical Novels Horses Cowboys & Indians Short Works and Fishing Stories Zane Grey: Writer Latter-Day Grey
This is a fast read, but there is some great discussion of individual Grey novels throughout. The work perhaps focuses on some of the best-known works, but there are brief moments where the author discusses some of Grey's "dud" works. One particular "dud" focused on buying horses and selling them to be processed as poultry feed. Yikes.
Offers some good insight into Grey, his novels, and what I enjoyed most is this was a quick read that was very, very straightforward. It does not bog itself down in areas it shouldn't. Would highly recommend it.
