Honestly one of the best gardening books I've ever read.

This book actually explains about how long to expect your garden to mature. No other books or plant labels do that!

I liked the designs. All the information and descriptions was concise.

A really good read! This is a very user-friendly book for those who are landscaping in the northwest. Holmes covers everything, from how to select healthy plants, to how to build a pond. The pictures and illustrations were really helpful.

Very nice suggestions for what plants to use in different situations. Specifically for the Pacific Northwest. Has planting basics as well as small blurb on all the different plants recommended.
