New York Times bestselling author Kelly DiPucchio presents how two friends with very different perspectives learn how to see eye to eye.
Mouse and Giraffe don't agree on anything.
They live on the same street, but their experiences couldn't be more different. On sunny days, Mouse is comfortable in the shade, while Giraffe is so tall, he overheats in the sun. On rainy days, Giraffe is dry above the clouds, while Mouse gets stuck in the storm. What will it take for Mouse and Giraffe to learn that perspective is all about walking in someone else's shoes?
New York Times bestselling author Kelly DiPuccio and celebrated illustrator Jen Corace have created a relatable tale about two unlikely friends who finally see eye to eye.
Kelly is the award-winning author of several children’s books, thousands of To-Do lists, and a few recipe cards. Two of her books, Grace For President and The Sandwich Swap, were New York Times bestsellers.
Like most kids who grew up in the 1970’s, Kelly had a pet goat and bought all her clothes from the Sears catalog. Like most teenagers who grew up in the 1980’s, Kelly had really big glasses and feathered hair.
Today, Kelly lives with her husband and three children in southeastern Michigan, where she enjoys writing just about everything except her own bio.
Mouse & Giraffe are neighbors and every day they disagree about something. One day Mouse doesn't come out to speak with Giraffe because he has caught a bad cold, and despite their many disagreements Giraffe knows the neighborly thing to do is to help his friend. Perhaps a more poignant tale given the many disagreements American neighbors find themselves on opposite sides of these days. I really liked the illustrations.
It's a book with a giraffe as a main character. I'm happy.
I like this message. Sometimes, we are very different people like a giraffe and a mouse. They both experience the world differently. These two smelled different things being at different levels, rain for one was great while rain for the other was a disaster.
Yet, with their difference, they were still friends. In this story, they began to see the others perspective. A great lesson. It was a fun story. I could use another one of these.
Yes! An almost perfect Another Point of View story. Can't get enough of them in this divisive age. (The only imperfection is that it perpetuates the myth that we catch cold by being exposed to rain).
Glad I read and really liked this as I was disappointed in the last by Kelly and I almost always love her sense of humor. This might be fun to pair with other books about friends who have different outlooks.

Kelly DiPucchio is a amazing with this offering. Learn about different perspectives based on how mouse and his neighbor giraffe view the world. I love Kelly's story and Jen Corace's sweet illustrations. This book is picture book perfection!
Good lesson in this book- Individuals can still be friends, even when their perspectives are different. If one is looking for a book about about "tolerance" and friendship, try this one.
Multiple truths can exist at once - especially if you have two very different perspectives. I love the way this book shows this while also teaching how to be an empathetic and kind friend.
