Stan Lee (born Stanley Martin Lieber) was an American writer, editor, creator of comic book superheroes, and the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics.

With several artist co-creators, most notably Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, he co-created Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, Thor as a superhero, the X-Men, Iron Man, the Hulk, Daredevil, the Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Scarlet Witch, The Inhumans, and many other characters, introducing complex, naturalistic characters and a thoroughly shared universe into superhero comic books. He subsequently led the expansion of Marvel Comics from a small division of a publishing house to a large multimedia corporation.

After such a strong start in the first volume things definitely faltered here in volume 2. Talon is fun, but strictly a one-note character. Tara at least gets an exposition dump to explain why she can't have feelings for Ben, but really the story feels like it is going nowhere.

The good thing is Ben finds out his father isn't a good person. To quote our main character, "My father was Space Hitler?!"

If anything Chris Roberson shows his biggest faults as a writer here. Lots of style, but little substance.

The art is just as good as the first volume but the story is much better. The pace has picked up and it no longer is a straight forward chosen one narrative. I look forward to the next and final volume.
