This beautifully complied collection of stories and rhymes contains something to suit every young boy and girl. Unlike the vast majority of collections, this book contains a mixture of traditional nursery rhymes and original stories. This coupled with the fantastically vibrant illustrations makes this little book a wonderful source of entertainment.

While children under the age of 6/7 will enjoy engaging with the traditional clapping and action based nursery rhymes, they will also delight in listening to the stories of various animals and the incredible adventures of teddy bears and their friends. The nursery rhymes teach younger children counting skills, phonics, rhyming and tempo as well as providing a strong foundation for the understanding of poetry. Each story contains a clear moral and there is a lesson to be learned from each one.

This book would be an excellent resource to be used in the classroom as the stories provide many discussion points while the rhymes encourage class participation and the individual involvement of each student.
