¡Hola, mi nombre es Chuchito y quiero ser tu amigo! Te comparto algunos de los momentos inolvidables de mi vida. En unas sábanas mágicas, viajaremos hacia un mundo de imaginación y aventuras.
I received an advanced copy though a Goodreads giveaway. This is my honest review:
3.5 stars rounded down.
I loved the illustrations, and the love from parent to child really came through in the book. I only wished the magic sheets played a bigger role in the story since they are part of the book description.
Spoiler Warning: The magic sheets are introduced on the first page, then we see the boy growing up, and the magic sheets are mentioned again on the last page. It made the story feel disjointed and incomplete.
Unfortunately, I personally did not get a chance to read the book as my great-nieces, twins who are starting to learn Spanish saw the book at our house and took it. Both said that they enjoyed it very much, so much that they're challenging their group of friends to read it too. Thanks much for this opportunity to spread some knowledge and culture with our twin girls. I can't see it ever coming back to me to read after their friends had their way with it.
I won this book for my toddler and I love the fact it is both English/Spanish. Honestly it is helping me refresh the Spanish I learned in High School. Not to mention the author signed the book making it that much more special for her.
