I very rarely leave reviews or ratings for books I cannot finish but I was so disappointed in this book that I had to do so.

This book had so much potential-a unique story, well-developed characters and it was written well. The problem? It is was overrun by so much religious preaching that it was impossible for me to finish. This really should be categorized as "Christian Fiction" so those of us looking for true "Contemporary Fiction" don't feel duped when we spend the money on a book. Also, there is not one mention of the underlying Christian theme within the book's description and yet you can't get through 5 pages of this story without some mention of God, church, Christian Rock, etc. If the author feels the need to hide the Christian theme in order to sell books then I think she needs to go back and re-learn what the bible says about practicing what you preach.

Holy Shit! By the end of this story I was trying to figure out where to find a hot bad-ass mob hit man, place a price on my own head and then let him chase me until we fall hopelessly in love.

Leese Winslett is in hiding. After the mysterious suicide of her grandfather, her mother becomes paranoid that someone is after them and their wealth. Sending her and her sister off to live with old friends, Leese is now a typical middle-class teenager. She's kept the secrets and hidden her past, but when a mysterious new student arrives she lets her mask fall out of place. She's tried to live a life out of the spotlight - going unnoticed, but she's caught Evan's attention and when another new student arrives, Ryan - she realizes that she is in his sights as well. Two men who both want her, but one has been hired to kill her.

One's been hired to kill her.

The other has far more innocent intentions.

As Leese has just a handful of weeks to figure out who is behind the hit, to save her family. She has already started to fall for the man who is going to end her life. Coming to terms with her reality, she suddenly realizes that there may be more than one threat against her life. And the hired gun who she has fallen for is now protecting her from dying at the hands of another man.

This was one hell of a ride. I am not sure how I let this one sit for so long before reading it. I was a mess of emotions throughout this entire book. The angst alone had me climbing the walls and don't even get me started on the heartbreaking moments, GAH! My heart broke so many times during this story. I was ready to surrender -

Kill me, Kiss me ---- Fuck just as long as you touch me while you do it!

The writing was simply addicting. Every moment of this book had me craving more.

DNF

I can see how some people might enjoy this book but I did not.

To start with Annalisa was too perfect with the exception being her massive ego. Second, I have nothing against religion, if thats your thing, but I thought it was a bit extreme when Annalisa pretty much forces Evan to go to church. In general, the undertones of the book were a little too religious pushy for my taste. Should have been more clear about it being a Christian romance. Now, I could have gotten past these issues BUT...

OMG... I was entirely captivated by Untouchable... I mean like I threw together the quickest meal possible for my kids just so I could get back to reading this book. Lindsay created a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat, wanting to know what will happen next to Leese. While I will admit it is a tad predictable I can't take away the fact that I couldn't put it down... I'm anxious to start Unforgivable and quite frankly I'm struggling with how strong the urge is to dive right into it.

"I can paralelle park at 30 miles an hour cos Im like super rich. Oh I have a porche fyi and sooo many designer clothes, but my Mum is like bat shit crazy so I happily put it all into storage and lived went to live with some randoms. Have I mentioned I can paralle park my porche at 30 miles an hour? But guys its totally fine, I have a $100,000 credit card."

Um Im sorry but is there ANYTHING that girl isnt good at?! "Tonight I wanted to look wonderful and so I did." Um ok Paris Hilton.

Look if she was as into all her possesions as she says she was and if she really believed her Mum was just crazy she would have max the shit out of that credit card quicker that she could say "I can park my porche at..." and hidden it from her mother who everyone thought was insaine.

I DID like this book, I just wish it wasnt so religous, well in my standards, the book basically told me Im going to hell 38 times. But I heard god prefers Jags to Porches anyway so maybe Ill see Leese there too?

Untouchable had suspense, action, romance and lots of twists!! At times I really couldn't put it down and I've got to say even though I know I'm not supposed to like Micah..I LOVED him, his character and the redemption!! In regard to Annalisa, she had guts and character but the whole religious vibe drove me nuts. Personally for me it was too much and ruined the book for me.

Sorry (not sorry), but I have NO RESPECT for an author who romanticizes disrespect and brutality against women and still uses God's will to justify it. Please use your freedom of speech to write about subjects that dignify men and women. Books are media, books have social influences. If you believe in this kind of trash, ok. Everyone has their opinion, but spreading it is completely ridiculous. Like I said other times, some people should try harder to be better people and not just a waste of time and space. And other people would do humanity a great favor if they chose their careers better.

Okay, first of all they should have listed this book as Religious Romance because that is what it is. I have no problem with authors preaching their beliefs in their work but I would like to be forewarned that it is the case before I make a decision.
Besides the annoying religious factor, this book was simply put really bad. So bad that I couldn't finish it. First of all, the insta love was one of the most ridiculous ones I have seen. The heroine is in hiding and it doesn't take long for her to be spilling her secrets to a mysterious boy that have just landed on her school. Never mind that he exhibited extreme mood swings. No, she just had to go and fall madly in love with him after, I don't know, a few conversations with the guy. Talk about unrealistic and pathetic. She is probably one the dumbest characters I have come across. And why does she have to cry every freaking time?
All I have to say is don't waste your time.

THIS.BLEW.MY.MIND.AWAY.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE..... CAN GO ON AND ON.

First PLEASE whoever see this review GO GET UNTOUCHABLE NOW! You won't regret it. This book is FANTABULOUS and BEMAZING. This book right from the beginning wrapped me in its clutches didn't let go until I was at the very last word. I was laughing and crying all along. I am sooooo glad I read this. I needed to read something this STUPENDOUS. And here I am still reeling from this book. The songs comes at the right moment. Stupid boy and The Reason pulled my heartstrings that my chest is aching from the angst. I love all the characters (obviously the bad ones are on my hate list) but its rare when I love them all. I mostly love the main characters all the time but here I loved them all. I want friends like them. I don't want to say more and ruin all the twists and angst so go read it. Like now. ;)

I LOVED THIS BOOK. When I read the reviews alot of people said that it was very 'religious' and 'church-based' but I really wanna tell everyone that NO IT's NOTHING LIKE THAT. I'm not a Christian myself and I didn't find it all so much religious.
This book is an AMAZING AMAZING COMPLETELY AMAZING mob romance. It has a great story to it. I love the hero and how he slowly and slowly falls for the heroine and her innocence. Its slow and sweet. It was a bit of a shock the way the heroine didn't react to her death sentence by running and screaming but I guess that's what makes her so different. The story was just so unique that it keeps a reader thinking about it for days even after finishing the book. The book was fast paced and didn't drag on for no reason. The only part that was truly unbelievable was that the heroine knew how to ride cars, was a black belt, every good looking guy in school was attracted to her and she was super rich. She sounded a bit too perfect but I guess she has to be if she has a hitman like Micah on oner ;) Haha. The story is amazing. And I give it 5 stars.
READ THIS BOOK!! ITS AMAZING! You'll not regret it :)

****Re-read on 5/10/2013 and its even better the second time round! LOVE THIS BOOK!!****

DROP EVERYTHING YOUR DOING AND READ THIS BOOK ASAP!!!
I PROMISE NO BORING BITS!

This book has a crazy plot but it definitely worked! This is a favorite for sure, i normally don't read books that involve the mob but i'm so happy i took a chance. What really interested me more was that it was set in school because that's the type of books i enjoy reading, i'm surprised it progressed in to more and had loads of action and emotion in it.

It made me anxious, giddy, torn, desperate, i felt hate, disgust, this really got me in touch with all my feelings. It finally got me out of this reading slump that I was going through (i was reading one ok book to another but i wanted more than just ok!) THIS BOOK HAD IT, it had me from every page i turned and it was so exciting.

I loved how Leese was a rich and a Godly girl, i loved how forgiving she is. She was also a strong character who knew how to put people in there place, she did everything i would have done if i was in her position. this author always answered the questions in my head and never left any loose ends to make me wonder.

when it comes to evan, he got me from the day he walked in to that school. he was really yummy but when i got to know micah i cant believe i fell in love with his character after all the shit he had done, i understand what leese could see him. You couldn't help but have so much love and compassion for this lost boy.

The kiss shocked the hell out of me, i've never read so fast in my life. And that song from micah moved me so much, i loved the ending but i guess they cant be perfect and i cant wait to read the next book!

The Reason by Hoobastank is like the worlds most perfect song for Micah :D

LOVED LOVED LOVED this book!!
The scene towards the ending, when they kissed I swear to God my heart was in my mouth!!
Loved all the characters, The book is long but so not dragged one bit.. I enjoyed it thorouhgly!
The sexual tension was like dripping off the pages of this book!
Really found the whole hitman thing really compelling and capturing.. couldn't keep this book down for even a minute.

The way he looked at me made me realy glad that he didn’t carry his gun on him. :P

I could put you on a private jet tonight, fly us to Paris for a shopping trip down Champs Elysées, then have the jet fly us to Hong Kong to finish off our day on Causeway Bay. We could return to the States and stop at the Porsche dealership and pick you out a new 911 and that day wouldn’t put a dent in my finances.” There was only one thing that I could possibly even think of to respond to that, “Good grief, how many people have you kiled?”

4.5 Untouchable Stars!!!

I loved this! I stayed up all night cause I couldn't put it down!

Annalisa Winslett, a billionaire heiress, and her sister was sent to live with her mother's close friend in college under a different name because her mom thinks someone is out there to hurt them or worst. Using a different family name, Annalisa McKinnis is now living with her her pretend aunt and uncle. No one in her new school knows who she is and she's avoided getting involve with anyone to keep her secret.

Until Evan, a new guy in school, who besides being handsome with green eyes and brown hair, Leese is starting to really like. And Evan makes it harder for her to avoid him.

Holy mother of suspense! I love Leese, she fights for the people she loves, she's willing to sacrifice everything to protect them... even to the person who is sent to kill her if he will help her keep her family safe... I feel for her... I feel for her feelings for Evan. My heart breaks for her. She is definitely not a whiny irritating female character.

Evan lives in a different world, I get how he feels.... At first I was seriously mad at him and his temper, but reading through, I understood where he comes from.

The tension.... The suspense.... All the twist and turns... I loved it! The only thing is, I wish Leese was older or something. ;) Other than that, I think it was fantastic!

Just a reminder:

This is not a mindset I can 'get with' nor would I ever want to.

I feel as though I've been getting a highly frustrating and disturbing look through an extremely cracked and dirty window as of late into how women sometimes justify brutality, misogyny, sexual violence, victimization, inequality, infidelity and abuse from men.

This is another instance of WTF that I just don't have time for.

As Roksana states in her review:

In book 2 "he brutally rapes her and beats her" and she forgave him because it was god's plan for salvation? Are you joking me???

Just no.

Untouchable wasn’t anything I expected, but entertaining regardless. There’s plenty of action, twist and turns to keep you occupied

[Summary]

Annalisa is a very rich girl. She’s so rich that she moved to a different state to live with her aunt and uncle for her own safety. She has always been cautious and her friends are limited, until one day, new student Evan, changes her quite life. Evan is very interested in Annalisa and he does everything he can to get her to notice him, but cagy Annalisa doesn’t want any of that.

NOT EVERYTHING IS WHAT IT SEEMS. Everyone has secrets.

[Review]

This will be a tricky review because I don’t want to give everything away, but there are some highlights I want to address. First off, the summary that is given, gives NOTHING away to what the plot is about, it’s so much more!

Annalisa is a strong girl. She understands her situation and is prepared for the worst. I get why she is worried all the time and I get why she is so guarded. At first it seemed over the top, but as you get more into the story, you understand how much her life is worth.

Evan is the mysterious boy that shows up to Annalisa’s school. We don’t know what his intentions are, but overall, he’s a sweet boy trying to charm a girl. All and all, the book is simple and sweet, until the 30% mark and then it gets crazy! Secrets are revealed and thus begin a crazy adventure and action pack scenes.

If you want to know what I am talking about - >

Annalisa and Evan have crazy chemistry and one word to describe Untouchable is SEXUAL TENSION!!!! Oh my gah, there is so much tension, you will scream. Theirs is zero steam, but that’s not really the basis of the story. The story is about two damaged characters trying not to love and love.

My only complaint is that the beginning is a bit boring and a little YA. A few times I wanted to put it as DNF, but because of the glowing reviews, I decided to stick it through and I’m glad I did. Also, the religious references were kind of annoying, again a personal preference on my part, but I don’t like any of that in my reads. I kind of just skimmed over those parts.

Untouchable is no simple book and will give you a wild ride. I recommend.

P.S. Just a simple note to the author, I strong advise a new cover, something more modern. Covers go a long way

Untouchable is an original, entertaining story. Young adults will have a hard putting this book down because it's addicting and exciting. This story is filled with romance and suspense. Overall, Untouchable is a fabulous novel.

I really, really liked this book, but it's not for everyone. I think readers will either love or hate this book. Most readers will love it, but there are definitely a few who won't like it.

My only "issue" with this novel - and the thing that will derail some readers - is the heroines reaction to the "hit man". In my opinion, her reaction makes her look weak. Personally, I am not a big fan of self-sacrificing characters, so I had a hard time accepting her behavior. Other than that, I loved everything about this story.

I gave Untouchable by Lindsay Delagair 4 STARS. I strongly recommend this book.

The following review reveals the killer's identity without shame because it seriously is obvious

“If it's not the truth,” I added quietly, “I don't want to know,”

WOW!! Loved this book! It's so romantic and I absolutely ADORED Annalisa and Evan! They're just perfect together!

The synopsis for this book is pretty crap because it's the kind of story that moves along. Annalisa and Evan quickly slip into antagonistic flirting. It's pretty good banter and when things start getting serious, it gets poetic like you wouldn't believe. You can see the lies slipping here and there, and everything is so mysterious. I loved the dynamic. Fortunately, before half the book is up, most of the air is cleared between the two and they start working together. I have to admit everything comes a little easy (unrealistic, plot-wise), but it's a good story. The touch of philosophy was perfect too. How can you not have philosophy, with a killer falling in love with his victim? I enjoyed the subtle writing. There's not a lot of drooling and blatant sexuality but I liked the intimacy of the characters that went beyond sex. I would have liked more kissing though. These two have so much chemistry it's just torturous to go without the kissing!

Annalisa holds her cards close to her chest but she's still a feisty little thing. I loved her voice. But she's an extraordinarily sucky liar. She's brave, but can get emotional quickly. She cries a lot. Annalisa comes from money but she's currently hiding out. She's surprisingly sensible, but I enjoyed her rather naughty, impulsive streak. She's an unusual girl, experienced in mechanics, tactical driving, and martial arts. Annalisa really likes Evan, but she's smart enough to fear him too. She knows there's something off about him, but it doesn't stop her from falling for him. I really felt for Annalisa every step of the way. When she was scared, I was terrified with her, when she was psyched up, I could totally feel the adrenaline racing.

Evan's a 23 year old man on a mission and he's not terribly subtle about his desire to get to know Annalise. Fortunately, he was just enough suspicious without being creepy. He's volatile, and dark and dangerous. But I could definitely see his appeal. He is one hot customer. Bonus is that he's sweet too. He's the kind of guy that you love, scars and all. I was in love with him way before Annalisa was. It's fun watching Annalisa teach him to be a normal person. He's uncomfortable with a lot of the new experiences she reveals to him. She's a Christian and she drags him to church and tells him to keep his hands off her. It's hilarious.
Evan is blown away that Annalisa could love someone like him. He doesn't believe it's actually possible, and he now and then scolds her for her dedication. But she's really patient with him and she has to be because Evan is a killer who doesn't believe that real life or love is in the cards for him.

Untouchable by Lindsay Delagair is the most unique and different type of romance novel that I have ever read. It is full of romance, crime, and suspense. Untouchable is a great novel that left me wanting for more. I would say it’s a older Young Adult novel that has a touch of romance for older adults as well.

The storyline is about 17 year-old Annalisa who comes from a wealthy family but has to move away to live with family friends of fear of someone trying to kill her family because of their wealth. This is where she meets the new boy at her new high school. Hot, sexy Evan. He instantly wants to get to know Annalisa but she has her guard up, no one can know who she really is. As their relationship heats up and rather quickly, she tells him who she really is. By this time they both have very strong feelings for each other but now, Evan tells her his truth. He isn’t really Evan; in fact he really isn’t an 18 year-old high school boy. He is there to kill her and has 6 weeks to get his job done. If he doesn’t do it, someone else will and kill them both. They spend the remaining 5 weeks they have left together trying to figure out who is behind the hit and wants Annalisa’s family dead while they fall in love with each other. Now “Evan” has to figure out what he is going to do with the woman he loves.

The heat between Evan and Annalisa is so strong; I could feel it through the pages. I love romance novels with a long build up to get the two together. It just makes it so much better once they finally are! The storyline does seem a little strange and makes it hard to fall for Evan when you know he is a killer sent to kill his girlfriend but somehow Evan manages to make you love him too. He is so protective of Annalisa and I enjoyed reading about the new side of Evan, the side he didn’t even know he had.

The author Lindsay Delagair did a wonderful job of keeping the story on track. I think the plot could have turned into a disaster but Ms. Delagair kept the story on track and created a great novel that was enjoyable to read and left me excited to read the rest of the series. In fact I bought the next two books as soon as I finished Untouchable. I cannot wait to see what is next for “Evan” and Annalisa and where their love takes them.

I give Untouchable 4 stars. The storyline alone deserves high stars for being so original.

A friend of mine really loved this one and wanted me to read it. So, I bought it and was looking forward to reading it, because she felt so passionate about it. So, what did I think? I liked it. It certainly kept me on my toes. Leese was a little hard for me to connect with, but I loved "Evan". I had a bit of trouble with the religious undertones, but I've been told that in the rest of the series, it becomes less of an issue, because Leese's views change a bit. I really liked the supporting characters. Ryan is pretty great and I loved Leese's friend Jewel. She made me laugh. And I've been told Ryan plays a bigger role in the next book, so I'm pretty excited about that. I also really liked "Evan's" family. They intrigue me. Bottom line: I liked it and I'll read the rest of the series to find out what happens. I'm definitely curious!
Side note: It needs a new cover. I wouldn't have looked twice at this one if my friend hadn't told me to read it.

Quotes:
-"Can you believe it?" she asked, but didn't wait for anyone to respond. "It's like the gods are dropping good looking guys from the sky! First Evan and now Ryan-who's going to enroll now? Brad Pitt?"-Loc 675

-"In five weeks, I'm going to put a bullet in you. I've been on a path straight to hell for the last seven years and even though this feels good right now, I'd rather go back to feeling nothing at all."-Loc 2233

if i wanted to read a book on how god can save you and how you can turn even a hitman into a good christian then i would read this book. i can't believe i went through that. i have nothing against religion if that is your thing, but if a wanted to read something christian i would have picked christian fiction not a book with a naked man on the cover. how can you preach the things you preach and have that misleading cover??? (yes, many question marks, i'm worked up over this shit). you can't have a naked man on the cover and not expect to have steamy scenes. and steamy scenes do not mean kisses on the cheek, do not mean having sex after marriage!!! this book should be labeled under a category of its own romance-to-convert-young-adults-into-christian-prudes!
annalisa is a very very very rich heiress and she's unbelievably prude for a 17-year-old, who goes to church and sings and waits for her one and only to marry her (at 18! gah get real) and then have sex and then live happily ever after. yet, despite her deep belief in god (rolling eyes) she likes to speed with a car above the limit and avoiding the police, which doesn't seem like a christian thing to do, but god is forgiving... if you're good, you're good all the way, in everything! and not only the things that are to your liking. she falls in love with the man that is supposed to kill her and then she makes him a christian! seriously? this doesn't happen!
micah: he's a hitman and he introduces his mark to his family. it's like torturing the animal before you kill it. it's like he's saying to her "look at the life you could have had with me if i didn't kill you, but too bad that i will, and my family is perfectly fine with it. oh and don't mind my daddy's taunting. he has great respect for you, but he's still going to make me kill you if i back out. and my french, elegant mother really likes you and she's happy you're in love with me but she's also pushing me to kill you, because she's a mother and she wants her son to excel in everything he does. don't mind my siblings, they don't want you in the family dinner because they're the only ones with enough reason to realize that you're a mark and i'm supposed to kill you not wine (which you don't drink because you're a prude) and dine you." he's a hitman (i'll say that many more times because it's just incomprehensible) and he's a perfect gentleman and never touches her, no, in fact, he gets out of the mob (what mob? no information on the mob, all we know he is a hitman and that his family is also involved in illegal activities! where's the mob? just because the author drops the word mob, it doesn't make it real!) and then becomes a christian, proposes to her and they are more in love than ever. oh and let's not forget "the miracle of god" (i just threw up in my mouth with that) she's hit with a bullet while they're kissing, he's the hitman and his senses are not in alert to realize there's someone else in the room with them, and the bullet goes through her body (just the lungs are hit but no biggie) and he's hit in the chest right where the tattoo is just enough to erase the two first letters from the "untouchable" on his skin. seriously??? but it's ok for micah to be drop dead gorgeous and for annalisa to drool over him like a he's the tastiest treat she could have.
the author obviously has no idea what a hitman looks like. i can't say i know either, as i'm obviously not one nor have i ever met one. i have seen a few movies though and i would suggest that she takes the hollywood approach, which seems a little bit more plausible. watch hitman! you can also play the video game as well, unless it insults your christian senses... you can watch the transporter movies, he's not a hitman per se, but it's close. look it up on imbd, i'm sure you'll find a lot of movies to help you research.
the french! gah (i'm using that a lot, but this book is utterly horrible, i can't help it) the hitman's mother is french and he speaks perfect french (how cliche is that the lead male is a smooth french speaker?) and annalisa speaks french and it's so sexy. of course that word is not used, because it's not christian! i would have expected the french to have been translated somehow, but no. if you don't speak french tough luck!
there is no cursing in this book. none, zero, zilch, nada, niente, rien (i had to get the french as well). it's not like i like books that have tons of cursing, but if you're writing a book about the mob (meh) and a hitman you would expect a fuck (oops i hope i don't burn in pits of hell for using that word...) or a shit. but no, micah is such a gentleman that he never curses! in fact, everyone is so well behaved and not a single curse comes out of their mouth. and if it does come, the author is kind enough to say "a curse comes out of his mouth."
the songs! oh the christian songs!!! why do i have to read the lyrics of those songs? couldn't she have used other songs, most of the people would listen to? and what's up with that ipod? wherever she goes she carries that ipod with her and even plugs it to the amazing restaurant micah's father owns, which coincidentally has a karaoke night the night she goes to dinner with micah's family. and her voice is so angelic and that she should go to american idol... of course now that micah is in love he will have to forget his metal music. from now on he will prefer christian rock only. it's the music of god after all. i guess micah will never again listen to "the god that failed" by metallica...
i could go on forever on how bad this book is, but i'm really psychologically drained after this crap (oops i cursed) and i'll go grab myself an iced cold beer (oops alcohol) and try to forget i lost 5 hours of my life to read this. i can't believe there's a second one...

3.5-4 Stars

"Don't you realize that this is what I do? I don't get involved--I don't fall in love--I don't care if someone lives or dies--I do what I'm paid to do."

I have been tossing this review around in my head for a few days now, and I am not quite sure how to review it or rate it. I have been swaying between 3.5 and 4 stars since I finished the book. I decided to go with an in between because there were parts I really liked and some that were just kinda there for me. Also Micah and Leese kept me up till five in the morning telling me their story.

If you are not a religious person or are not open minded enough to read about Christianity than this book is NOT for you. It is very heavy in Christianity and God; the author should have stated this in the description. I am not a religious person, which is one of the reasons I rated a little lower on this book. However, I was able to look past it to still enjoy the story line. I just saw it as a part of Lesse; this was her belief system to get her through life. Everyone needs something to believe in. Below is just one of MANY quotes that reference her religious beliefs.

"Why couldn't I have met you some other way?"
"God, does everything for a reason, but you have no idea how much I wish the same thing."

Ok, now that we are past that let me just say I really loved the plot line and the author's writing style. Micah and Lesse were well developed, and their chemistry was emotionally intense. Both characters had deep secrets that would soon shape the story and the route it would take once they were revealed. Lindsay created a world that wrapped around a bad boy hit man contracted by the mob. His job was to get close to his target and take her out. The target just happens to be a spiritual 17-18 year old girl, who has had a broken life and relies on her Christianity to get her through the day. Lesse is a job, nothing else, and Micah has never failed to remove his target. Problem with this is Micah had yet to met Lesse, and our heroine is not like anyone else he has ever met. Our bad boy struggles with what he NEEDS to do vs. what he finds himself WANTING to do.

I adored Micah. Yeah he was a huge jerk, and he sometimes lost his temper. His moods were often all over the place. But if you stop and think about it, he is a hit man sent to kill a target who begins to make him question everything he does. Micah keeps his heart cold like ice, nothing or nobody penetrates it. He is completely lost and has no clue what the heck to do with Leese. She begins to affect all of his decisions and behaviors. I loved his inner struggle with not just his feelings but also with how he will handle his kill. In his head he knew he had to kill her but his heart was beginning to struggle with that idea.

"I don't want to corrupt you. That's why I haven't grabbed that impetuous mouth of yours with my own and taught it how to respond to a man. I've never had to use as much strength in my entire life as I have in these last nine days."

I thought Lesse was just ok, she isn't my favorite heroine, but I have read worse. I just found her a little too good to be true. If some dude was sent to kill me, there would be no way in hell that I would be as forgiving or as cooperative as she was. Her religious beliefs became very overwhelming at times. I needed her to be less perfect and more human.

"You're my reality Micah. I guess I just want you to realize I love you no matter who you are, or what you've done."

Overall, I really liked the love story. I adored the love triangle between Micah, Lesse and Ryan; more than once thought I would love to see Lesse with Ryan. I adored him and the way the author describes him throughout the book. He was a mystery to me, and on multiple occasions, I wondered who he really was. Lindsay wraps Ryan up in this veil of suspense. He definitely held my attention just as much as Micah did. I found myself thinking of him in scenes that I should have been focused on Micah in. For once I could not be swayed one way or the other, I truly did not mind which one Lesse would end up with. I look forward to getting to know him better in the second book.
