Good read
This one took me a solid 100 pages to get Into. Again the beginning drug out too much. The whole Chiam/Micha thing is weird. Along with Angels performing favors and special miracles all the time.

Can’t wait to find out what happens next. Seriously worried for Judd, Lionel and Tom. Things are getting hairier and more intense. So ready for the next book.

A deadly bomb hurtles toward Petra. Are Tsion Ben-Judah’s predictions about the safety of Petra correct? Will they all be rescued? Or will this be the end for millions of believers?
No doubt we're living in the last of the last days. A lot of action in this book, keeping my interest high. What increases the tension is I know one day this will play out. This is a must-read for all Christians, and those wanting to know more about God. Five-Stars

Slightly more believable, but only because I'm more likely to believe that angels intervened than that teenagers sneaked in and out of a guarded area unnoticed. The best part? They actually sneak through an airport and board a plane without being apprehended. Ummm... ok.

This was a very strong entry in the series. The authors didn't focus so much on copying plots from the main series and let the characters explore their own stories, which were pretty good. The building tension regarding hopeful reunions was also well done.

This one ends on a cliffhanger. I can't wait to read the next one. Love this series. I am not the intended age group and I enjoy these as well as the original series. Highly recommend.

little action and a lot of talk
There was a lot of talk and not much action in this book. I waited for something exciting to happen, but nothing did.

I can't stop reading these books

Decapitations, nuclear explosions... it's Bible horror, kid-style.
Tyndale has repackaged their popular Left Behind series--in which Roman Catholics and rock-n-rollers lead the evil hordes at Armageddon, Christians and millions of good people are massacred, and finally, God incrementally mops up human scum with plague and fiery judgment, the damned beg for the sweet release of a quick death, blood runs high as horses' bridles, etc.--in a fun little series for children: "Tyndale Kids (TM)"! Just look at that fun, rainbow-colored logo, crooked mixed-case letters, "K i D S", so cute!*
But I digress. Let the fun begin. In #33, Attack on Petra, subplots abound.
- A rock group (I'm picturing One Direction) drags fans onstage and makes them pledge alliance to a politician. Some refuse and get their little heads chopped off in front of the fans.
- A troubled outsider named Vicki must interpret the ancient, cryptic YouTube videos of an evangelical pastor.
- Nuclear genocide! Yes, this one's the headliner. Strap yourself in, things are gonna get explosive.
The GCNN--standing in for the UN--are the bad guys, and it has cornered a million Jews and Christians out in the Middle Eastern desert. It's looking grim. The devout are cowering, waiting to die. The GCNN sends in an air strike and it's the big one--they drop two NUCLEAR FREAKING BOMBS.
Watching on a monitor, the bad guys cackle.
Those wascally Judah-ites. Where is your God now? The nukes go boom. But hang on, Tyndale Kids, stop crying! Clap if you believe in the One True God! Just like a Bible story, YHWH protects the Judah-ites with fire-immunity. Beards aflame, they dance and sing in the explosion.
But wait, there's a problem. The Global Community has already, for some reason, launched a long-range missile into the heart of the nuclear explosion. Just another example of government waste, I guess. The superfluous missile goes in; the nuclear explosion gets... even... explodier. (SOMEBODY's a Michael Bay fan.) Wait, what's this? Is that--water? spraying from the ground?! ANOTHER MIRACLE, HECK YES! Break it down, Tim LaHaye, Doctor of Literature**:
Yay! Genocide [temporarily] becomes a run through a sprinkler. The devout dance and sing in the spray. This IS an Awesome God. He does everything but come out with cookies and Kool-Aid.
But! The bad guys run the media (natch), so they hastily attempt a cover-up. In a final twist, their media guy secretly loves Jesus and he has a recording; he blows the whistle by pressing play on-air.
Look at that prose. No fancy, flowery descriptions to wade through to get to the action. Just say what happens. Take notes, Tom Clancy.
What does it all mean? What's the point of packaging a supernatural end-of-the-world horror narrative as a pseudo-adventure story for kids? Well, it's a necessary tradition as old as religion itself. Telling kids they can survive a nuclear blast because their god is the True God is how you build a fearless army of young soldiers. Like giving kids a plastic key-to-heaven before sending them running to clear a minefield. Or dressing them in a charmed bamboo vest to go up against armed soldiers.
In short, it's for war. War is what our species does, tribalism is why, and religion is what we use to convince ourselves it's a meaningful pursuit.
Anyway, this violently paranoid pamphlet is what the children of Evangelicals are being given for entertainment. The same kids not allowed to read Harry Potter, because that magic stuff is dangerous.

A very well write book, with some nice plot twists and as usual a ending that makes you want to move straight on to the next book. my only downside is that the last few books there have been so many characters with different stories and backgrounds that it's hard to keep up on the 'fringe charactrs' who only come in occasionaly. I would rate this book 4 stars as aside from that, its a very good book

I love this series! I can't wait to read the next book. The plot and suspense are what make these books really exciting to read. The characters are getting more in depth and I felt like I could really connect to them. The only negative thing I can say is I don't like the cliff hangers at the end! :)

This book is when people head to a protected place and how God works miracles to protect everyone in this safe haven. The GC get aggressive and try to get everyone to take the mark. if they don't that's the end of them.

WoW Great series. The last 2 books, I can not find (at least at a reasonable price) so I'm considering this the last. Until the future says otherwise.
