Wild #5

Hartley's Crush

Rate this book
Tyler Hartley was feeling the pressures of being alone. He watched his best friend Micah and his wife and child wishing he'd had a life, but he just couldn't seem to find that perfect woman. A woman who could see through the fame and money he had. Someone who could love him for who he was, not what he was.

This story is like a continuation of book entitled Micah Rush from this author.
We follow another team mate in Micahs team with unfortunately the same type of man whore behavior from the hero.
The story starts off in a way that I hate, with Tyler the hero having finished having sex with some random girl he picked up for the night.
YOU KNOW THE USUAL
However, in this case the heroine Eva give the hero a run for his money and does not sleep with him right away.
WHAT DO YOU KNOW, GIRL IS SMART, somewhat?
Eva comes from a home with a big loving family complet with over protective brothers and he had a nice family as well. So no tragic back story here.
But don't worry they make their own and drama seemed to follow them wherever they go.
They have a few misunderstandings but eventually they get their HEA and an epilogue that I found sweet.

Keeper and read again.

Please note that I did not read Micah Rush as it had elements in it that I did not like. You don't have to read that book to understand this one.

Very sweet - loved it!

Tyler has always got what he wanted, so when he sees a shop girl through a window, he goes after her with all he has, and boy, does he have some charm

Poor girl doesn't stand a chance, but she is so naive she doesn't understand what is going on with him and how deeply he feels for her

Luckily it all works out in the end, and while it could have been very sappy, it came out just sweet!

I've read many Lietha Ward books but this one just didn't do it for me. First off because I've read so many I'm pretty used to the grammatical errors or misspelled words but this was just too much. A couple misspellings are one thing but the whole book has quotation marks in place of apostrophes and let me tell you that was way, way distracting...

it was a good book [by the usual lietha wards standards] but i kept hoping that there will be a thrilling part. the plot just revolved around tyler and eva and their love story nothing else. there wasn't any side story or anything.
still looking forward to reading more of wards though..

This was a great free series, but I have to say this last book left me flat. I loved the other 4 books and I love the hero in this book but didn't like the heroine. She wasn't trusting and just seemed to young for a relationship.

I thought this was a pretty good read. Tyler once a user of woman, turned to be a one woman man. From the first time he saw Eva he know she was the one, sweet and innocent. He just had to convince her.

I don't know why I put off reading this for so long! I should have had more faith in Lietha Wards. I loved nearly all of her other books, so I should have known I'd love this one as well. Well done, once again!

I literally read this book in 3 days that's how much I loved it. I just couldn't put it down. I thought Micha Rush was a romantic but nah...Tyler Hartley's the romantic. He kind of makes you fall in love with him :) It's a good read.
