I read this book at least twice as a kid, and I really enjoyed it. Reading it as an adult now with my son, I'm not sure why I liked it so much. Patty's banter with David and some of the bad guys are supposed to be funny, but just felt annoying. I also don't know how many times someone asked, "What?" in the book. After so many times, it gets really noticeable and different words should be used in place of it. My son thought it was okay. It has an interesting plot, but some of it just feels too ridiculous.

this book really helped me get out of my reading slump. it is short, but very entertaining nonetheless. patty's personality is very much fleshed out, her witty comments made the book much more fun to read. the author managed to describe patty's emotions and make it all seem so real. i do wish it had a different ending though, but that's okay.

One of my favorite books of all time. The spine is nearly falling apart with repeated readings. One of the most exciting thrillers, adult or otherwise.

I read this book while a teen and lent it to some one who never returned it and moved away. I would love another copy of it. It completely pulled me into the main character's world and the craziness that she walks into one day when she finds out her father was and never has been who she thought he was. Now she is on the run on her own and her struggles become your own as she strive to survive.

I have no idea if this book is any good or not, but I LOVED it as a kid. I'm afraid that if I reread it as an adult it won't hold up to my memories, so the five stars is from my 9-year-old self via time travel. She thinks it rocks and highly recommends it.

This is a great book! It tells of a fugitive family and all the tricks they must do to escape the law. The writer does a good job of connecting you to the characters.
