This is a great nonfiction book all about apples. It explains how an apple grows, from seed to apple, through all of the seasons. The illustrations are cute and colorful, which helps the appeal, and the text is not too information heavy, which helps keep young readers' attentions. Very well done.

This book is all about fall but more specifically the apples. It talks about all of the things you can do and make with apples, and also talks about all of the fun things about the fall season.

The illustrations in this book are very cartoon-like which could be very intriguing and engaging to the students. Also, I really liked that the family featured in this story was African American because I think more diversity being included will make stories more relatable to a wider group of students.

I would give this book 4 stars. I like this book a lot and I think it is important to teach students about the seasons and everything that comes with them, however, with topics like these, I think it would be cool to add history in this book as well. With that being said, this book covers a lot of different fall topics and is very informational. You could even use this book to plant your own apple seeds.

"Fall Apples" by Martha E.H. Rustad is a children's informational storybook that explains very well how apples grow, from the start to the end. This book would be a great book to add into a science class or lesson. The vocal used in it is simple yet descriptive which makes it easy to understand, and the illustrations are very well done that further helps explain the process of apple trees growing.

I gave this book a 5 star rating because of the content being so informational and interesting. I truly think this book would be a great addition to a classroom library that kids will still want to pick up regardless of it being an informational storybook.

This is a great seasonal nonfiction picture book to share with young readers trying to learn more about apples and how they're grown. When I taught first grader, we took a trip to the apple orchard every year. This book uses brightly colored illustrations and easy-to-understand text to help explain what goes on at the orchard. The book includes mouth-watering descriptions of some of the yummy foods that are made with apples. At the back of the book, there is a recipe for Upside-Down Inside-Out Apple Crisp, a glossary, and a list of resource for further study.

I enjoyed this fall picture book. It's a great book for fall, showing how apple trees and apples grow, and different ways we can eat apples. It even has a recipe at the end for Upside-Down, Inside-Out Apple Crisp Recipe. Would recommend to read to kindergarten - second graders. I can see lots of activities being done with this picture book in the future.

Purchased this book for my first grade granddaughter, who is attending Oma's Virtual Academy. I am her teaching coach. This book enforces skills tested on the Michigan State Test. Non-fiction, glossary, table of contents, recipe, lots of blends and snap words. Excellent book for Kindergarten thru Second Grade.

This book is so fun! I love all the colors when I open the book. It not only has a very warming feel but when you read you learn about the earth and how to grow apples as well! This is a very simple book but the way it is told is just right for children wanting to learn more in fun ways.

There are a number of things that make this series very good for both educational purposes and pleasure reading. First, the design is attractive and easy to follow. The organization works especially well for a teacher who wishes to cover certain aspects of fall in an orderly manner. I also appreciated the use of a table of contents, glossary, index, and additional resources. Each book also contains an activity that goes along with the information covered in each book. The second thing I like is the friendly and appealing illustrations. The illustrations are very child friendly. I also enjoyed the text which is simple enough for younger readers, but also includes side notes for readers who want more information. The text is written as a narrative which makes for a good read a loud. I highly recommend this series for all those that want to learn more about fall. I liked the fact that I learned some things from these books that I did not know previously. For example, I did not realize that when apple seeds are planted the apples they produce are not the same variety of apple as the seed that was planted. Lots of interesting things to learn in these books.
