Review :
Even though it is a fictional story,it is nonetheless moving, emotional and deep.
In this story we follow Mini and her relationship with her mother, being herself a mother and also relationship dynamics with others.
Mini 's journey is full of experiencing motherhood, finding love, sacrifices, detachment and acceptance. That anyone can sympathise with her, with the whole situation, it'll definitely be going to tug your heartstrings.
"Maa", this word itself is full of emotions, how much we attached to it from our childhood, but at the same time how we get detached as we get older, and in this detachment we sometimes hurt that person, but when we fully understand, we also become late.
So the author through this fictional story somehow shows us the reality of today's life. On one side there's Mini, and then on the other side, the daughter-in-law.
Definitely a book worth every second of it. Definitely recommend.

Maa by Rashmi Rameshwar Gupta is a fiction which focuses on the relationship shared between a mother and her daughter.
When I was in 12th standard, there was this poem in one of my English books, we had two, one main and one supplementary book to read and learn from. Anyways, so the first poem in the book was one of Kamala Das titled My Mother at 66. It's a very nice heart touching poem and it is bound to make you appreciate your mother's presence in your life.
This novel reminded me of that poem, mostly because it made me feel the exact same way the poem did when I had first read it.
I'm my mumma's child, I love her to the moon and back, and I honestly cannot imagine going through one day without talking to her. Sure, we have our arguments and sometimes we get angry, I get angry at her because I don't understand her concerns, whe gets angry at me because she doesn't understand my reasons to not agreeing with her concerns, but beyond all that, my bond with my mother is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
All of that detail from my personal life is to explain how close I hold my maa to my heart. So when I read the very first sentence of the story- "Tumhari Maa bas ab kuch hi dino ki maheman hain." my first reaction was tears, not even kidding. I felt that sentence and it's honesty on a level that is inexplicable. So I really cannot even imagine how Mini in the story must have felt when she heard that sentence.
The plot explores a daughter's dedication and her emotions as she tends to her sick mother and it very beautifully portrays a reversal of roles in the sense that a mother in her old age is being cared for so selflessly by her child like she cared for her child when the child was young and small. What makes the whole story even more beautiful is that Mini herself is a mother.
There are no words that can express all that I felt while reading this story. What I can express is the gratitude for the reminder it has given me. We forget to appreciate the little things that Maa does and the text is a reminder of how important and pure each and everything related to maa can be.

This book is a fictional story wrapped with lots of emotions of tussle, pain, cherishment, Love, support, bond, sacrifice and more than that.
This story is all about a girl named Mini who does a lot for her mother and subjugate her almost everything being beside of her mommy. This is somehow a reality as well and a lot of people have to give up their comfort just to see their parents beside but now a days people leave them alone instead of choosing the goddess Mother. In this story all the strenuous efforts done by Mini is seen here and it's kind of indication towards us. So that we can know & feel the pain and sacrifice our mothers has done for us. When the hard times come we should be with them at any cost, is the lesson this book teach us.
My view point:- I liked the story very much. It was fully empathetic and pragmatic. Story was simple and the characters was full of immense feel with the reality of life. An eyes opening book to those who forget their parents when they become old. The real pain, pleasure of being in support and the circumstances one can go through in the hard times is whole articulated bt author in single story. Nice Hindi language is used. Cover and title is perfect to the match of plot. Overall a perfect book for any kind of readers to know that every sacrifice is patite in front of mother's love. Must read book for all.

We can write a lot about Mothers and it will never be enough. Mothers are always special and they are the epitome of love, care, and sacrifice. In this book, the author Rashmi Rameshwar Gupta has presented a very heart-touching tale that will appeal to all of us because we all know how important our mothers are in our lives, in shaping our characters, and in everything that we are. The author has touched upon a very important topic in this book. Our parents especially our mothers have given us everything when we needed to be taken care of and needed to be looked after, however, when they age and become old, most of us are not able to look after them mostly due to time constraints and other commitments or sometimes negligence. We are not able to spend quality time with them and we are not there when they need us. This is a story of a mother and her daughter and it will inspire the children to give their best love, care, and time to their parents because these are the only things they expect from their beloved children. This is an important topic and I am glad that I read this book. I sincerely hope that readers will read this book and get this noble message which the author has tried to convey through the book. Some books are so beautiful and so emotional that they leave a deep impression in our heart. Honestly, this book, Maa written by Rashmi Rameshwar Gupta is one such read for me. In most of the stories a mother's love for her children would be highlighted. But, there are children who does anything to take care of their parent irrespective of their own situation! Glad that the author has narrated both - a daughter's love for her mother and a mother's love for her daughter. The bond between them is so perfect! To be honest, I completed reading this book in a single sitting as it kept me engaged.
The protagonist of the story tries to take care of her mother who had been sick for quite some time. The efforts she puts in to make her mom stay alive is priceless. I guess it is most needed read right now as it throws light on providing support to our elderly parents which many of us fail to do mostly due to work related pressure
