Darkness should have just as much of a place in modern Druidry as light does. This book is an exploration of the magical potential of darkness. Here we may find healing, peace and restoration. While this isn't a how-to sort of book it is full of prompts for action, meditation and contemplation.
Most of us do not experience proper darkness. As humans light the night, social justice meets environmental impact. We need more darkness for the wellbeing of all living things and we need to stop blaming the darkness for problems that are intrinsically human.
A very interesting and inspirational read about something I hadn't particularly thought about - the ramifications of too much light and the flagrant misaligning of anything considered "dark" as being bad. Inspirational enough that, as a writer, poet and storyteller who draws on the dark, I am considering how to build on this with my own take on the power, usefulness and necessity of having darkness in your life.
