[Siren LoveXtreme Forever Erotic Alternative Fantasy Menage Romance, M/M/M/M/M/M/M/M, demons, sex toys] What started as a simple night out with his warriors quickly turns into one of Echo's worst nightmares. If being kidnapped and assaulted isn't bad enough, no one is prepared for the revelation of who is behind the attack. More questions arise. Echo's mother is strangely absent, and when he meets his father, it's not the happy reunion he'd anticipated. Even more disturbing is the reasoning behind his conception and the newest task entrusted to him. Will he have the courage to see it through, though? Delving into Hex's memories opens more heartache and pain, but finally gives the demons some of the answers they seek. When everything comes out in the open, only one thing is clear to Echo—the gods are not to be trusted. Having all the answers wrapped in a pretty, red bow still doesn't prepare him for the twist that no one saw coming. NOTE! You are purchasing Siren's newest serialized imprint, the LoveXtreme Forever Series. This is the conclusion of the Fatefully Yours collection. These books are not stand alone. Each is a continuation of the previous book and must be read in the numbered order. The final book contains a happily forever after for the beta hero and all his men. ** A Siren Erotic Romance
Gabrielle Evans grew up in a small town in southern Oklahoma. We’re talking one red light that may or may not work depending on the day of the week. She married her high school sweetheart and the rest is pretty much history. They have two very active boys and one high-strung wiener dog that keeps her constantly on the go. For now, Gabrielle parks her car in north-central Texas, but who knows what tomorrow will bring.
Maybe this book was my least favourite in the series, I don't like how anticlimatic the end was or how touchy the protoganists were. But this book wrapped up all of nine books unitedly with a lame ending and weak conflicts between the characters. I'm very disappointed because it's not what I've expected. Ok, I wish all of them deserved nothing more than HEA after they've fought hard for their life, but I hope it won't come easily.
By the way,the chemicals between Echo and his men are very sizzling and make me crave Evans' books more and more.
really liked how this book bought the whole series together. Lots of suprizes in this book. I could really say I was sorry to see it end. Hope there's a spin off or somekind of continuation.
Fue un libro con algunos giros interesantes, sorpresas que aunque las esperaba, hicieron a la lectura ir más allá de una relación entre ocho personas, cositas que fueron cayendo en su lugar y un final bueno, pero muy tranquilo para mi gusto.
I actually somewhat liked this series. It was my first by Gabrielle Evans and I quickly liked her writing style. Of course she reminds me a lot of Lynn Hagen, Stormy Glenn, Joyee Flynn and Scarlet Hyacinth, but that is probably pretty normal as they all come from the same publisher and write in the same genre.
The 'dominant' males were interesting throughout their own books and each had their flaws, which made them all the more ... human, for lack of better word. But they became likeable and weren't the classical fairy tale heroes, but the flaws made them more down to earth.
On the other hand did I very very quickly grow dead tired of Echo and his supernatural talents and what-not. He could do everything! Pardon my French, but what the flying fuck? No. No. No no no no no no. In a series with such great potential, you did not make the male version of a Mary Sue, did you? Oh yes, you did, Ms. Evans, you did.
He didn't just get one power. No, he was able to use every bloody power Hex and his men have. And with each book it grew and grew and grew and grew and .. you get my point. And it started in book two right away. . Echo couldn't do anything wrong in anyone's eyes and he was a spoiled brat throughout it all and while he saw his men's problems, somehow focus always went back on him. The only reason I actually liked the 8th book so much was because we finally got a little bit away from Echo and got our focus on one of the guys, who didn't fall over his own feet for the smallest in the group.
By the time I got to this book, I practically couldn't go through with it, because of one character, who managed to "destroy" something, which could have been good. Don't get me wrong (right!), Echo had his good moments, but unfortunately, they whole Mary Sue thing overshadowed it. I liked the beta characters a lot, actually. They were funny and sweet and stubborn and I want to read a book about them, as they are so very interesting.
And, I am rating this two stars, because I honestly didn't like it. Because the climax wasn't a climax and I couldn't go through with it, which actually should have given it a single star, but the beta characters made me like it enough.
typical gabrielle evans serial romance. nothing fantastic, nothing so bad it can't be finished. what is typical gabrielle evans? imagine a shorter harlequin romance but with no t&a (see, i was going to write no surprise pregnancies, but... yeah.).
out of sheer laziness, i will be using this as my template for all books by : sunny day lynn hagen stormy glenn scarlett hyacinth carol lynne gabrielle evans
unless otherwise noted. i'd apologize, but i'm not sorry. i figure it's about as much time as they put into their books. dammit! well, i made it all the way to the end being rather moderate in my assessment. that's a win.
After all of the twists and turns, I actually found the ending to be pretty consistent with what's gone before. The emotional ending was at least satisfying. Over all I think the entire series was twice as long as it needed to be and could have used a good editor. In general, I think the "love extreme" series is really not my thing. So much of it seems to be about trying to stretch sexual boundaries and fantasy but pretty it up with the bow of romance.
Talk about anticlimactic. I read this series from ok 1-9 in 4 days and found each book exciting and I couldn't output them down but I hav to say while I enjoyed this one I found the end to b just to boring or plain, so much build up and then the end is such a let down. While I have given this a high rating it is mainly coz I liked the rest of the book not the ending.
This entire series was FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC! I am sadden to see it end, but what an ending! I really can't say more then what I have already said. There are just no words for how great this series was.
