Sooo Misaki’s dad was a singer in a band and wrote music etc and taught her how to play piano. Kuroe was hired to protect an ex assassin and someone from a group of assassin vampires was hired to kill that ex assassin. Ofc Kuroe saved the day and Misaki’s elder vamp friend did vampire cannibalism was the translation note 💀 oh and actress girly wants to be in a movie adaptation of one of Kurose’s (Kuroe’s pen name) books. Saw more about Kuroe’s sister and lowkey we got a sister complex in the building 🤠🥲 but I’m justifying it for now since their parents died and it’s seeming like they were just really close due to that and the older sister getting sick and being hospitalized..

I liked this volume but personally, I felt like there wasn't enough dynamic between Misaki and Kuroe. I know the author wanted to flesh out the world and the ways vampires worked overall, but I just really enjoy the relationship between Misaki and Kuroe a lot.

I grew impatient waiting for my library to have vol 1, so I jumped ahead to vol 2. Very disappointing. The art is so stylized that the action scenes are hard to understand, and there was far too little action for my tastes anyway. The "domestic" chapters were tedious, seeming to add nothing to the plotline. The romance is slight and childish--not as subversive as one would expect from the synopsis. Bad writing... I'd still check out vol 1, but I'm no longer impatient to do so.

This book was a great thrill riding story with twist and sharp turns. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes story's about a care taker/vampire/mystery/action.This book was about Kuro he doesn't want his past to hurt the people he loves but it might be to late plus a elder is asking him to help out with the increasing numbers of vampires hurting humans.Plus Kuro has to handle like 4 other paying jobs.So Kuro seems to be in a lot

Even better than first volume. Easily the best vampire manga I've read so far. Unique art (the first chapter without any clearly drawn panels is fantastic), athmospheric story and imaginative characters. Truly a gem.

The action and backstory pick up in this one, while the semi-romance simmers a bit.

I enjoyed this one. It had a little longer story line instead of short stories. I wish there was more of a constant story to follow not jumping around so much.

Little romance but more suspense and action. The art is very well drawn and characters are expressive. And that ending, a little dark. Then again this has vampires and all.

Things take a darker turn. Guess that is to be expected given the premise.
