Caught in the blast of a nuclear explosion, SAS Sergeant Nick Stone finds himself flung into the far-future where the last remaining humans are led by a merciless tyrant called Leeshar and rule over the eugenically - modified animal castes known as 'Yujees'. Accompanied by catwoman Liana, bullman T-Bone and loyal wolfman Gruff, Stone is intent on ending Leeshar's dark reign by leading the slave-like Yujees in rebellion! Featuring the incredible art of the late great Massimo Bellardinelli (Ace Trucking, Flesh) and a high-octane script from Alan Hebden (Major Eazy, Death Planet). Honestly found this incomprehensible. Can't believe it ran for a full year.

So many episodes, such a massive story arc. A year worth of 2000AD issues and never a dull moment.
The story itself is so fantastic and so far out there with incredible weird characters and uncanny plot twists it kept me reading but the art is the true hero here. Bellardinelli made true every oddball curve ball Hebden threw at him.
Even 2000AD does not make stories like this anymore.
