The next year Flea spends in the human world is the longest of his life. Memories of his life at the North Pole are always on his mind, memories of his friends, of the magical world, of the evil ice demon that attacked him...
He's moved to Florida with Miss Mabel, who is more paranoid than ever. But the warm weather and sunshine does not last long - cold temperatures and snow seem to follow him wherever he goes... as do red-eyed snowmen...
His second year at the North Pole brings new adventures with his friends, new lessons at elf school, new prophecies from Red-Robe, new dangers from the South Pole and new answers - as well as new questions - about his real family...
From competing in the 'Snow Wars' to meeting new reindeer to dealing with a potential traitor at the North Pole, Flea will be lucky if he survives to see the end of another Christmas building season...

For the young and not so young, this has been a great series. It's all about Flea and his role in saving Christmas. His adventures are fun and imaginative.
I like the story line. I like the mystery involved with the Christmas holiday and winter characters. This book did annoy me quite a few times as the editing needs to be corrected. There were several times where the typos and the wrong character name being used forced me to reread the sentence/paragraph to figure out what was meant rather than what was written. I hope the author goes back and fixes these. While I really like the story and believe the author has done a good job with characters, world building, and plot, the errors have annoyed me to the extent that I have not rushed to but the next book in the series. i would buy these stories as a gift for junior high/young teens and think boys would find these interesting too. (When my children were young, finding books my son would like was always problematic. I think he would have liked these.)
I loved the first ebook in this series and knew right away that I'd want to read the next one. I must say I wasn't disappointed in the story. I loved how the games were incorporated into the story and that we saw some new character developments with the beloved characters of Minko and Rome and of course got to spend some time with the reindeer. I think I still feel a bit negatively about the whole toy making timeline and the slowing down of time in the "human" world at 11:59 pm on Christmas Eve, but I've grown to deal with it. When I got to the end, I found myself wanting to continue reading more. But hey, that's where the next one in the series comes in!
Happy reading everyone. I intend to check out #3 next Christmas season.
Sigh.... my kids just loved this book. And the end was so exciting that they made me read for and hour last night, and two hours this morning until we finished the book. I have to agree that it was good, but the sore throat is not very happy right now :) But book three has been downloaded and we'll start that one tonight.
The characters are lovable and realistic, and the situations that they are put into are remarkably relevant to my kids' lives despite the fact that we are reading about elves and talking reindeer who know how to bake. It is a very good series so far... my only complaint is that the typos, grammatical errors, and pronoun switches made the book hard to follow in spots. But aside from the dire need of an editor, the book was still enjoyable.
My kiddos LOVE this series. It makes them laugh and discuss. The characters continued to develop in this book. Events were fresh and engaging. There was a wonderful plot twist that my daughter still gets excited about. It served as a basis for us to talk about foreshadowing and the very concept of a plot twist.
My kids are absolutely in love with this story! It may be after Christmas but they can't wait to hear what happens in the next book. I will have to admit, I am enjoying the story as much as they are. Fun family read.
