The material and method of organization for this textbook is very interesting and of high quality. It's a good read for anyone interested in this topic, as the way it is written is engaging and easy to understand. As a textbook, the only main issue is the information that is most significant in order to understand the general concept of being discussed is not very clear, so the reader has to heavily decipher what is significant or not (though this could be seen as a positive quality for students, in some cases. I do not believe my case is such, as a tired IB student.).

Perhaps the only textbook from my seven subjects that I'll have read completely by the end of this year! - really comprehensive and engaging :)
In conjunction with explanations from a super knowledgeable modern history teacher, this book gave a really good insight into Russia during our period of study.

Would recommend :)
