I really hate to shelves another book under DNF at the end of the year. I actually regret picking up this book. I had a bad experience with Miss Beck book in the past and yet in the last impulse buying, I chose Tame Me. And I live to regret it.
The blurb promising mafia type of romance. What really put me off from the story is the chemistry between Roman and Sophia. Sophia more likely. She is doormat and she is slave to Roman. Their sexual chemistry is also ridiculous. It seems Sophia is always turn on whenever Roman is around her. Even Roman was not touching her. There is no real vulnerable/ emotion connection between Roman and Sophia.
I listen to the audio book until the 4th hour. Then I just stopped.

Very amateur writing. Basic, with bad punctuation, atrocious grammar, and even simple words have spelling mistakes. This author gets her homophones wrong constantly, like 'There' instead of 'Their', and 'Too' not 'To' etc. Her vocabulary is really basic, one example is she uses the word 'eyes' five times in sentences just two lines long.
As for the story, urgh, it made me cringe. It's like every bad cliche there is and the thoughts and actions of the characters were awful. Just not good. I am getting annoyed at people who leave high reviews for such badly written books on Amazon. I don't know if they are teenagers who don't know the difference or if they are being paid to leave the reviews but seriously, not okay.

Wow what an amazing book this is, it had it all murder, drugs, kidnapping, fighting, auctions, betrayal and most of all love. Sophie is shattered, broken, beaten and doesn’t believe she is worthy of love because all she has ever known was pain at her father hands with his belt while her mother watched and did nothing, but the most unforgiving thing is that her father sold her to evil men to be auctioned off.
Roman is a underground fighter and has never lost a fight but he has killed plenty and has more money that he can use he runs his own gym and while working out his brother Ivan shows up with a girl violet he is injured and dying and now he has to save him they haven’t seen each other since there sister died and Roman carn’t forgive him for it but helps anyway. Now some time later Ivan needs his help cleaning up the mess left behind after Mr Rossi is killed by his sons and setting things right by getting the girls kidnapped back home safe and sound but they find out one girl won’t leave, eat or drink, so now with this problem Ivan asks Roman to take her in until he can find a place for her but Roman carn’t look after himself little lone look after someone so damaged and broken just like him but when he see her it all changes now he wants nothing more than to protect her and when Sophie see’s him she feels safe for the first time since she was taken away. How does this all turn out I’d love to tell you but that would ruin it, so get this book and all the others in the series you won’t be disappointed. I voluntarily read an arc copy of this book for an honest review.

I feel a little disappointed finishing this book. I didn't like Roman's behavior at all, all smooth and they are together... Nah, I'll pass.
The positive about this book is that I actually get to read about previous characters and Luke made an appearance, which is the main reason I started these series.

This was the last book in the series. Just like the others it was a dark romance. The good news is that in the end everyone got their HEA. Even though every couple had to go through hell to get there. In this one we have Roman and Sophie. She was to be let go now that things had calmed down. However, she only felt safe with him. At first he was pissed but it certainly didn't take him long to change his mind.

This is Sophie and Roman's story and what a wonderful dark romance story is was. Filled with so many emotional twists and turns from hatred to total devotion. Roman is a killer a killer in the underground fight scene. Nothing and no one gets close to him especially ramped up on laced pain meds to function. Ivan Roman's brother calls on him to help with a situation, what Roman wasn't expecting was Sophie. Sophie who's life had led her to being sold by her father into human trafficking was being entrusted to Roman for her safety. What happens next is one hell of a adjustment to his life as he knew it. This is such a well written series that can be read as a standalone. The characters and their stories are so compelling and tragic that they bring emotions to the surface. Highly recommended read.

Roman is a hardened man in more ways than one. Both physically and mentally. He thinks himself incapable of caring for anyone. It takes Sophie, a victim of human trafficking to put a chink in his armor. He knows that she needs protection because someone has physically harmed her. Just looking at her brings out the protective side Roman thought he long lost.
This story has a few twists and turns. And is definitely what I would call a page turner. I have read the previous Rossi Crime Family books and this was just as incredible to read as the other ones. I cannot wait to read Luke and Grace's story when it comes out.
I hope all of the books in this series become a boxset I would love to own them all in one place.

4.5 stars for this dark heart wrencher
This one isn’t for the faint hearted but once I got into it, I found it hard to stop. Both Roman and Sophie would be easy to write off as he’s too messed up and she’s too weak but if you look past the surface, they’re broken souls who never had anything they wanted to live for. They’ve been through so much and tried to deal as best they could and not always doing a great job but still trying. I loved these two together plus they are so freaking hot for each other-wow!
I love stories where the MC’s don’t give up and keep fighting for each other. The Rossi Crime family continues to grow and I can’t get enough of them!
This one does contain triggers and isn’t suitable for every reader

August 2, 2021Roman was a confirmed bachelor. He was all about fights and violence. Even taking perfomance enhancing/ mood changing drugs to give him the edge. He fights to the death with no remorse. He helps his brother Ivan take down the mafia who was trafficking women and things begin to change. One of the girls has no where to go, her own family sold her. So he takes her home to give her a place to recover and figure out her future. He ends up falling head over heels for her. They have many loose ends to figure out before they can find their HEA. Really great story with lots of personal improvement and growth. Loved who Roman was by the end.

Brilliant dark mafia!
Another great mafia story from this fabulous duo of authors! The plot was full of action and suspense. I was gripped from the beginning. I admit it took me some time to warn to Roman, but I loved that he had his flaws and his own demons he had to battle.
Sophie annoyed me a lot in the beginning,I do prefer my heroines a little more feisty but I saw her character strengthen as the plot progressed which was good. Their ending was literally perfect and brought tears to my eyes!
I can't wait for more from these authors.

I don't want this to end!
These books in this series all just flow together and its amazing. I love how we got an update on how the others were doing in this book. I loved Romans book. He is such a freaking dirty talker that will have you panting. Like with all the books in this series the suspense plot is amazing but it doesn't overwhelm you from getting to know the couple. Overall a really hot kickass book!

Roman's and Sophie was amazing, They have instant attraction sets there chemistry explosive. Can these to broken souls help heal each other, I can't say anything with out ruining there story. This is my favorite so far I liked this one even more than I did guard me. Roman made me feel his pain and then he made me feel his love for Sophie. Still had all the sexy times and good fighting but felt more like a love story then the rest of the series

He had lost his sister and than his parent just checked out leaving him with his brother that he blamed.

Also how The book related to the other books in the series was amazing. Sisters is coming together and Brothers coming coming together.

Sophie has been beaten and sold by her parents. Ivan and Roman rescue Sophie from the facility that holds women to be auctioned. Ivan makes Roman take responsibility for caring for Sophie when he witnesses Sophie trust and cling to Roman when she is discovered locked in a cell alone and wounded. Roman is like an explosive ready to go off, his physical and mental fierceness is scary, but not to Sophie. Roman kills for a living, when he's not with his mafia brother defending their territory he's fighting in the ring that is to the death. Sophie seems to be a balm to his soul, her voice and mannerisms seem to sooth him. There are so many almost brutal events that hapoen with Roman, but Sophie sticks it out with him and holds him close. Roman is vulnerable to the fragile abused Sophie and tries very hard to be the man she deserves. Roman fails a few times but he realky tries. I haven't read the other books in the Rossi Crime Family Series but I did get to meet a lot of the characters from the previous books. I think, in spite of their Mafia persona, they are basically good people.
This story keeps your attention, keeps you turning pages and makes you worry for everyone's well being, but it is so worth it in the end. You can read this as a stand alone, I did, but it might make you want to go back to read the first four books to see how everyone else got to where they are in this book.

Roman, is truly dark with some serious issues. With that being said, his and Sophie’s story was intense, very intense and good.
What I can appreciate about the authors’ body of work so far, they establish that connection between H and h up until a certain point in the book, then boom their none stop action and twist and excitement the rest of the way. I always enjoy the secondary characters as well as familiar characters from previous books, and we got them all.
Overall, good read, dark with some intense scenes and a lot of violence.
***I don’t equate these stories to real life, its definitely about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the stories you read. I hope this review was helpful.

The Rossi Crime family series continues with book #5, Tame Me. This Mafia series has been great from the beginning and just keeps getting better!
Roman and Sophie are so great together and their story was an attention getter from the beginning. Their attraction to each other is instant. Roman desires her but he is convinced that he dies not deserve her. Sophie, being broken, has an immediate connection with Roman that makes her feel safe and she fights to make him see that he is what she wants.
As with the previous books, this story is filled with all the emotional feels and will keep you turning to the next page! You are going to fall in love with Roman snd Sophie!

Another winner
Another great installment ! This one is Sophie and Roman’s story . Each book has to be read in order imo because all of the couples are in this book . They band together to disband the human trafficking ring that took and abused the women . All of these men are dark and kill without remorse but when they fall for their women they fall hard and will do anything to keep her safe . I love this whole series and can’t wait to read the next book !

JL Beck and C Hullman know the insane power they have over the hearts of their readers which is why they never fail to deliver with stories that will blow your mind every single time. While their stories run the gamut from all types of romances, each one will capture your heart with its raw intensity and pure hope. I find myself falling in love with each incredible masterpiece, and I am always looking forward to what their boundless creativity will bring to life next. These are two fantastic authors that you want to keep a close eye on. Missing out on their wonderful works of art is like a crime in and of itself.

Days later, I am still reeling from coming in contact by both Roman and Sophie. The power of these two precious lives is truly beyond words. They found themselves left with nothing more than the ability to live life by the power of their heart. Making decisions with that freedom and that level of restriction is both terrifying and freeing because the level of struggle they had to endure would leave any of us inhumanly crippled and powerless. Watching these two learn to find solace and light in the other broke my heart wide open. I was left in awe at their beauty and their power to change their fate and the fate of the other by reaching out and going beyond their comfort zone. This is love at its purest and most raw form. This is what true romance is really about. The selfless giving and receiving is the only way that love will survive in our hard and cruel world. The bond formed from such a deep connection is like nothing else you will find on this Earth apart from the love of a mother for her child.

This is an intense emotionally chaotic roller coaster ride into darkness, fear, terror, brutality & love.
Of all the males in this series, I think Roman (anti-H) is the most intense & frightening. Why? Because up until now the others were cold, emotionally controlled (most of the time~~ especially Xander), but Roman is most definitely NOT. He is huge, muscular, daunting; is almost always on edge, almost always ready to burst into some type of violence: verbal or physical,he is always filled with barely controlled rage. The only satisfying outlet he has are the illegal bare knuckle fights to the death he is the Champion of & the drug he takes to 'calm & intensify' his personality & focus. A drug he refuses to quit despite the repearted requests/demands of Ivan, his brother & Mac & Devin, his friends/assistants/guards.
And this raging hulk is the only one able to penetrate Sopie's (h) near catatonic state when she is rescued by Ivan's men & Roman. The tiny, horrorifically traumatized & pysically abused woman responds only when she hears & sees Roman, her knight in tarnished armor who carries her away from Hell into his protection & safety. And Roman is completely nonplussed & shocked when Ivan places the pyschologically fragile woman in his care until a safe house may be set up for her.
Safety she refuses to go to; only with Roman does Sophie feel safe, only Roman calms her torment & terror. Only Roman is strong enough to protect her & she won't leave him.
And despite his better judgement, against his will & intent, Roman finds Sophie's trusting, sweet nature & delicate beauty calm his mind & the violence in his soul, her voice & gentle touch call to his shattered & rage infused heart & soothe it. But Roman knows he cannot, must not, give in to his ever increasing lust & desire for Sophie.
This one is filled with brutal death fights, with a rage filled anti-Hero that has limited control of his anger, has chaotic emotions & yet the very intensity of these boiling emotions is what sucks the reader into the swirling plot & lives of these characters. I couldn'thelp but care abput Sophie & an ever increasingly tormented Roman who begins the fight of his life, against himself in order to be the man he believes Sophie needs & deserves.
And Sophie, despite her history, has a depth of total love, loyalty & gentle unselfishness for Roman that he has never before experienced in his life.
But Roman has formidable demons to battle that only he may conquer & Sophie has foes from her past whose goals would destroy her present & any possible positive future she may have.
I greatly enjoyed this entire story, the only quibble I had with any of this book came in the epilog. The epilog plot resolution was RUSHED & simplistic beyond belief, to the point of seeming silly to me. BUT, it was nothing that tainted my enjoyment of everything else about this book which I wholeheartedly enjoyed.

Continua il viaggio tra i componenti della Rossi Family.
Questa volta tocca a Roman il fratello di Ivan che abbiamo conosciuto nel precedente volume.
Con la morte del vecchio Rossi, Xander e Damon hanno smantellato il traffico di donne e Ivan sta liberando e aiutando le ragazze imprigionate. Una di loro, Sophie, si rifiuta di tornare a casa. Sono stati i suoi genitori a venderla e la sua infanzia è stata una vita di abusi e violenza.
Preso alla sprovvista Ivan la affida a suo fratello Roman per ospitarla fino a quando non avranno trovato una soluzione.
Tra i due scatta qualcosa: Sophie con Roman, e solo con lui, si sente al sicuro, e lui, un uomo davvero problematico che fa uso di droga e combatte in incontri clandestini per sfogare la rabbia repressa, stranamente con lei si sente in pace.
Difficile accettare questa sensazione, quindi la prima reazione di Roman è allontanare Sophie, eppure lentamente Sophie si prende il suo spazio e diventa essenziale. Ci saranno momenti bui in cui i due rischieranno di perdersi e ci sarà la rinascita. Roman e Sophie si completano e ne nascerà una coppia solida.
Non solo amore tra le pagine del libro, anche la parte crime ha il suo spazio, in fondo siamo in una famiglia mafiosa anche se… questa famiglia sembra sempre più votata alla giustizia. Non manca la vendetta e il crimine è sempre presente ma in ogni libro i Rossi eliminano le ingiustizie. Riusciranno a diventare “legali”?
La lettura è adrenalinica e i personaggi come sempre sono intriganti.
Roman è un ragazzo problematico che non ha ancora superato la tragica morte della sorella. Preso da attacchi di rabbia fa combattimenti clandestini all’ultimo sangue quasi fosse alla ricerca della morte. Sophie rappresenta per lui qualcosa di sconvolgente, i valori che ha accantonato ritornano vivi, quella ragazza lo riporta a galla, gli fa abbandonare l’oscurità.
Sophie vive nel terrore, sul suo corpo le cicatrici che ha anche nell’anima eppure quell’uomo così instabile per lei è la sicurezza, la protezione e l’amore.
Quella ragazza che appare fragile sarà in grado di avere forza per entrambi.
Così diversi ma così complementari.
Un epilogo dolcissimo ci accompagna al finale in attesa dell’ultimo volume della serie.

Non voglio sentire la sua voce angelica. È pura come un fiocco di neve e il pensiero di contaminarla mi fa ..........
Ben trovati magnetici, siamo agli sgoccioli di questo 2022 e in attesa della sua fine io continuo a leggere, e dopo un bel poco di tempo mi sono ritrovata questo bellissimo Dark.
È il quarto di una serie, ma ho potuto leggere la storia senza alcun problema, anche se recupererò sicuramente, in quanto mi ha coinvolta ed entusiasmata dopo tempo.
Distruggo tutto quello che tocco… ogni cosa, e non ho bisogno di una ragazza problematica nella mia vita. Non sono il suo salvatore, non posso nemmeno aiutarla. Io sono il bastardo che le renderà ancora di più la vita un inferno.
Sophie viene venduta dalla sua famiglia che sin da piccola non ha fatto altro che abusarla e avvilirla.
Quando decide di arrendersi e farla finita si presenta Roman, un lottatore clandestino, fratello dell’uomo che ha liberato e ripulito tutto quell’ambiente perverso.
Tra i due saranno scintille immediate, fino a quando purtroppo Roman cadrà in una spirale e sarà a un passo dal perdere tutto e in questo frangente capirà tante cose e tante verranno fuori.
Mi ha baciato come farebbe un uomo, con una passione e una possessività che farebbero impazzire dal desiderio qualsiasi donna.
Come ho detto all’inizio adrenalina, passione, paura, ansia, lotte per la sopravvivenza tutto questo è ciò che troverete e che vi incollerà alle pagine fino alla fine.
Le scene crude non mancheranno, ma sono ben contestualizzate, così come non mancheranno le scene moltooooo hot.
Sophie ha vissuto una vita che nessuno meriterebbe, così come Ramon. Lui vuole apparire duro, ma senza dubbio è una delle persone più belle e anche se lo nega a se stesso lui spicca per il suo senso di protezione.
Ho amato che i cattivi non sono diventati buoni, ma hanno lasciato il loro essere senza modificarsi.
Assegno con piacere 4 petali e sottolineo che il libro può essere letto in maniera autonoma.

Eccomi qui con la prima recensione dell'anno.
Iniziamo con il quarto volume della "The Rossi Crime Family".
Per chi non avesse letto i precedenti ovviamente questa recensione potrebbe sembrare poco logica.
Tuttavia i volumi sono tutti autoconclusivi ma gli intrecci legano ogni volume.
Partiamo dall'inizio. Nel libro precedente avevamo iniziato a conoscere Roman, fratello di Ivan che era riuscito a smantellare una potente organizzazione che trafficava ragazze. Ed è qui che i due fratelli trovano la piccola Sophie che, abbandonata a se stessa, si sta lasciando andare in una cella.
Sophie è stata tradita dalla sua famiglia, una piccola comunità chiusa. È stata venduta da suo padre e suo fratello l'ha tradita, o almeno è quello che crede. Non ha la forza di reagire ma Ivan chiede a Roman di prendersene cura almeno fino a quando non riesce a trovarle una nuova sistemazione.
Roman è reticente non sapendo come comportarsi con questa ragazza. Lui vive nel suo mondo fatto di incontri di boxe clandestini e la droga lo aiuta ad andare avanti.
Però Sophie riesce a penetrare la sua corazza.
Si fanno del male ma il senso di protezione di Roman aumenta sempre più soprattutto quando un nemico cerca di portarla via.
Tutta la banda dei Rossi si mette all'opera e verità eclatanti verranno a galla.
Quello adottato è un gran bel modo di portare avanti la trama.
Ogni volume diventa sempre più accattivante e il livello di intreccio fa sì che il lettore non perda l'attenzione.
Ho ricordato ogni singolo particolare dei libri precedenti, gli autori sono stati molto bravi e precisi.
I protagonisti non potrebbero essere più sbagliati e imperfetti ma è questo a renderli così particolari.
Roman lotta con la sua dipendenza e i demoni del suo passato, quelli che prendono il sopravvento, e fa scappare la sua piccola Sophie.
Sophie mi è piaciuta, ha saputo rialzarsi e prendere atto della situazione.
Insomma un altro mafia romance degno del nome.
Ormai questo duo di autori per me è certezza.
Non vedo l'ora di leggere la storia su Luke.

Wow what a Phenomenal fifth book in The Rossi Crime Family Mafia Romance Series. It has suspense, danger, murder, betrayals, twist and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Yet though all of that it's the damaged and broken spirit of Sophie that calls to that of the same damaged soul of Roman.
Ivan has taken over ever since Rossi Sr. was taken out by his sons and he was given his business. He doesn't trust a lot of the men so he ask his brother Roman to be his right hand man .He vowed to shut down the human trafficking side and everything is going well except one girl remains. Unable to take her home he ask Roman to watch after her. Roman is furious at the idea because he is barely able to take care of himself and the way he uses and treats women won't be what this girl needs. Against his better judgment he agrees to take her to his place.
Sophie battered and beaten is catatonic barely holding on when Ivan and Roman walk into her cell. She would rather die than go back home. Considering they are the ones who sold her. Once Roman sees her he wants save her to protect her from all the bad in the world. She reminds him of a "fallen angel...fallen because someone clipped her wings."
Their journey isn't an easy one it's full of trials and tribulations. They both had a lot of soul searching to realize that they are worth love, to forgive themself and others if needed. It's about how two wounded broken souls can be mended and made whole. It truly is more than a typical mafia romance suspense it has so much more to offer. It's about redemption, hope, forgiveness, and yes love. Yes this is a standalone but highly recommended you read the the first four books in this wonderful series since you will get a better picture of all the characters.

Wtf is this couple.
This man is a fucking asshole. And this girl just keeps saying she feels safe with him. He's always either yelling at her or semi flirting with her only to end up rejecting and yelling at her. He had like 1 nice moment in the beginning and from there he is so rude even though he KNOWS she's traumatized and part of what she's been through. So the hero sucks.
But so does the heroine. This girl is persistent in the worst way. She won't give up on a romantic relationship no matter how mean he gets. And not only does she still sees the good in him after his actions, but also she doesn't stop thinking or TALKING about how good she thinks he is. He's really not that great! She also doesn't respect this mans boundaries. This man keeps telling her what his boundaries are, for example: don't come in all creepy and crawl into my bed at night to sleep (I think that's pretty reasonable), although he's a fucking asshole so he words it more like " Don’t show back up in this bed unless you want my cock shoved somewhere inside you". He doesn't fuck her the next night when she comes back to his bed, so we know he's not going to fuck her just for being in his room, and even though his words are rude, his words still mean he's wants this boundary, but she just ignores that. I think this is extremely disrespectful since they barely know each other and he is giving her a place to stay.
Also when it was obvious they had feelings for each other, the H of course is unfaithful (had a naked girl on him) and h didn't stick up for herself once. She just cries, he chases her, and she forgives him immediately, and then she gives him her virginity??
I hate this book wtf. DNF
This man is a fucking asshole. And this girl just keeps saying she feels safe with him. He's always either yelling at her or semi flirting with her only to end up rejecting and yelling at her. He had like 1 nice moment in the beginning and from there he is so rude even though he KNOWS she's traumatized and part of what she's been through. So the hero sucks.
But so does the heroine. This girl is persistent in the worst way. She won't give up on a romantic relationship no matter how mean he gets. And not only does she still sees the good in him after his actions, but also she doesn't stop thinking or TALKING about how good she thinks he is. He's really not that great! She also doesn't respect this mans boundaries. This man keeps telling her what his boundaries are, for example: don't come in all creepy and crawl into my bed at night to sleep (I think that's pretty reasonable), although he's a fucking asshole so he words it more like " Don’t show back up in this bed unless you want my cock shoved somewhere inside you". He doesn't fuck her the next night when she comes back to his bed, so we know he's not going to fuck her just for being in his room, and even though his words are rude, his words still mean he's wants this boundary, but she just ignores that. I think this is extremely disrespectful since they barely know each other and he is giving her a place to stay.
Also when it was obvious they had feelings for each other, the H of course is unfaithful (had a naked girl on him) and h didn't stick up for herself once. She just cries, he chases her, and she forgives him immediately, and then she gives him her virginity??

This book was really good. I was hooked right away and couldn’t put it down. Both Roman and Sophie were good together and their chemistry was just as hot and sexy as the sex scenes with them! I loved watching Roman fight his feelings and try to keep Sophie at arms length. And I even liked the small amount angst when Sophie walked in and found some naked chic on top of Roman. For as much as I liked Sophie and felt for her, there were moments she really frustrated the living hell out of me. In the beginning a lot of the hurt she felt was her own fault. She was too clingy and dependent on Roman. The guy couldn’t even breathe. And her actions came across as desperate. Like right after she found him in with the chic, she runs out and he chases her because he feels guilty and she immediately curls up in his chest for comfort and then they go back to the house and she wants to have sex with him- immediately after he’s been making out in his bed with a naked girl. I wanted her to have more self respect than that- BUT I did enjoy that bit of drama! And another instance where I didn’t like her was when she flushed Roman’s pills down the toilet. She had no right. Yes he needed to stop taking them, but it wasn’t her place to insert herself and try to force him by getting rid of them. Luckily it had him taking random pills and it had a negative effect on him and had him spiraling and almost attacking Sophie- which had her calling Ivan for help and that had Ivan taking her away for a couple weeks so Roman could detox. Everything worked out in the end.
This was a great read, and probably my favorite in the series!
